If anyone didnt know and only because I found this out by pure accident while practicing along with this video, you can transfer into IAI stance from u1,1 by just holding down after the second 1 if hitting 3+4 is too hard.

I have been playing him for 3 days now and dominating in ranked (I just got the game) by just learning the first i stance entrances, now that I Know that he has a stance called PERFUME?!? Oh boy its on. Thanks

Great guide, thankyou. The only thing I'll note is that "Iai" is pronounced "ee-ai". Look up iaido: no doubt its inspiration.

Yea I hear different pronunciations for the word so I say it that way. I'm also familar with Iaido 😅

While the video is great, adding some excellent combos and guides, there is a bit of lacking with not showing the damage values and perhaps even some look into how the best Victor players are currently using him. I'd love a deeper dive into his game plan in neutral in having opponents mid-checked with d/f+1 (1 if hit), building frame traps around 1+2 and the excellent neutral check it is versus aggressive players, maybe SS 1+2 for 3D movement, D 1,1 for weapon low poke with high crush properties, etc. But kudos man, love the effort you put into this one!

Thanks for the guide! I'm starting Tekken 8 and looking for stance characters. I'm starting with Victor since he is easy. Would like to play Ling tho in the future and if they add Lei.

Ling is honestly one of the easier stance characters. I'm having a harder time with Victor than with Ling for some reason haha.

he's not incredibly strong..mid of the pack strength..none of those combos taking 60 percent of your life if you land...you've got to land 3 complete combos of your choosing with Vick to end a round...

So, why do people refer to while rising attacks as while standing? Like I understand what people are referring to when they say that but it doesn’t really make sense since it’s a move done while rising

some terms use WR for both "while running" & "while rising". So to make things easier the community will say "while standing" or WS.

Down 1,1 not covered at all?.. I make critical use of it to get underneath mids. Conditions opponent to block low and looks eerily similar to db1,1...nice easy mixup

do you mean d1,1? there's no d3,3 for Victor 😅 nor does it mid crush it does high crush. I didn't include it as the move isn't great in the Neutral being easier to flash duck or backstep, tbh I find this low to be more of a beginners trap than his other lows. So I didn't include it😅

@@delusional-lobo yes...down 1,1 sorry.. you're correct. I doesnt crush, or anything of that nature but it's a great neutralizer, and conditioner. Down 1,1 has opened up so many winning opportunities for me. I get the central focus of your video on Vic.. I used everything you've mention.. Not your exact same strings.. but every other critical strike, stance, combo etc. Also...

@@delusional-lobo WOuldnt call it a "beginners trap" I use it on KiNGS..it's situational. I've charted exactly which attacks I can get underneath with this, only to set the table for alternative combo chains.
