As a french, the first thing to remind is that is only 19. Then he also finished our league final on June 15th and then went directly to the NBA draft and its "washing machine" and now plays first summer league games. Compared to an in shape Wemby that we have seen here during the season, he looks tired physically and probably psychologically. Who wouldn't? So now he's got to get rest, to work with SAS coaches and teammates and we'll see in the coming season. Even in France we consider him as an exceptionnal prospect, but the highest mountain is in front of him and we are not sure he'll go to the top of it since he's so unique. We don't know (but we hope !) Note to the TV commentator: your french accent is not yet there 😉! (hoping that my english text is quite correct !). Greetings from France ❤🤍💙

That tip to himself and dunk in mid air 😳... That's next level rite there. And let's not forget he's 19... His brain is still maturing. He's not a man yet and dealing with next level top tier pressure. The only thing I see needed to change immediately is him fading away and going away from contact. When he starts going through guys and not avoiding contact he's going to be putting up crazy numbers from free throws and gaining much needed confidence. Mental is 70% of your game in any sport. Kobe was great because his mental made his confidence unmatched. That's what LeBron lacks.... his mental doesn't give him the confidence kobe terrorized teams with. And everyone talks about how skinny he is. Don't they see how majority of the good players are skinny. Look at Zion.. Old school bruit force that flings players. Wemby wouldn't be as fluent with that weight and his feet would be in jeopardy carrying that around. See how much weight LeBron cut down. 6'8 280 when he came in the league. He was a freight train coming down the lane. Now he gotta drop that bruit force and become more finesse if he's going to be around for 5+ years.

This is the only film I’ve seen and I agree that the potential is there for him to be a top 5 player down the road. Right now based solely on this film, he looks very goofy which is expected from a young 7 footer. He is also making silly mistakes losing the ball trying to dribble down court and taking bad shots. I believe he has the skill to do those things but he needs to focus on fundamentals right now. Last is his defense which should be very solid from day one. Even with all those criticisms he still managed to put up huge numbers. If he just focuses on fundamentals, building strength, and defense it should be a breeze for him to win rookie of the year.

The one play where he slipped and fell you could see the speed and athleticism when he took off but he still looks like a kid trying to get used to longer limbs after a major growth spurt. He puts on a few pounds and gets some core stability/agility training he is going to the run the floor like no one else.

Good game from wemby considering its his second game. One thing I noticed is that he has a hard time pacing himself when bringing the ball up the court. This could be because of a lack of confidence in his handles. At the end of the day he does play at the 5 so it is not a big deal.

Timmy was more NBA ready when he joined the league. Victor's game is incredibly raw, he eats too much of shot clock and tries to be flashy, but he is too long and easy to predict. He has great potential, but I fear he won't live up to his hype. Victor is more like Bol Bol than Duncan.
