I was born here. Used to fish on the banks of the Zambezi with Enoch, the chefs son, when we were 6. What a childhood. Left at the end of 79after the ceasefire and watched from afar as Bob slowly destroyed the country. Pity, great people and the 6 million Zimbabwean refugees living and working in South Africa keep the hospitality industry going. Great work ethic both Blacks and whites. Do you know there are more Zimbabweans working in South Africa than there are working in Zimbabwe. So sad. Pamberi ne Hondo

Good man! I never understood why Zimbabwe was ever painted s an un safe tourist destination, i have gone there several times and its people are always friendly, speak good english and its generally safe to move around at night.

Tony West I am a Zimbabwean. To answer your question. In 1999 - 2002 there was a Land Reform which was a de-colonisation process to redistribute land which was skewed in favour of minority whites at the disadvantage of majority blacks. Unfortunately this didn't go well with the former colonial power the British government. Since then Zimbabwe is currently targeted by the UK,the US and the EU for regime change. This involves , economic sanctions to destabilise the country, a negative publicity and an anti-Zimbabwe propaganda campaign by the Western media to portray Zimbabwe unfairly as a lawless and unsafe country. Sadly the ordinary people are being made to suffer for NO real reason. Like any other it has its own social, economic and political problems BUT its a safe country and people are generally friendly. Most visits are generally incident free. Thanks very much for asking.

Flew in from Harare in August with Fastjet. Didn't get to see the new international terminal. If you go to Vic Falls stay near tourist police.

Safe country. I used to take a walk around at 1-2am, sometimes half drunk. I think its because people don't have easy access to guns

Was very impressed when i heard about this place and definitely wanted to travel but considering your travel rates I dropped my plan. I am an indian and we surely want a cheaper travel destinations. Indians will no way spend ₹ 1lakh on traveling to zimbabwe. And apart from this all the videos that i have seen of thhis place r of americans and white people for whom this is not a big amount. You guys definitely need to drop your flight rates if u want to attract the Indians. By the way we r worlds top travelers😀
