Absolute disgrace. Shows zero respect for the locals and Australians as a whole. This will only cause tensions between people.

No congratulations. This is Australia not India. We can be multicultural. But don't think you can rename Australian places after Indians. Ridiculous l.

Unbelievable! Your community should be embarrassed that this decision was made undemocratically and paid for by local ratepayers and tax-paying Victorians. The people of the local community were never consulted about this proposed change which shows a complete lack of respect for the wider community. Why should a minority population be given this special treatment? You have the right to practise your religion but to impose the name of a Sikh religious leader in a public place that the majority of locals in Berwick or throughout Australia do not worship or acknowledge is inconsiderate and divisive to say the least.

The Victorian government had no right to do this without the consent of the majority of the community that actually lives there.

Exactly what the Original True Aboriginal community used to say.

@@DavinderRoly You obviously have no respect for the democratic process and fail to understand that the government exists to serve its constituents not lord it over them as they please!

@DavinderRoly They didn't speak English. If your not happy with Australia then go live as an aboriginal. Give up all the luxury Western society created in this country. Will you? No.

Chardi kala always ♥️ to Sikh Khalsa panth ♥️ and our great respects with deep bow to the original inhabitants of Australia who owned and tilled these lands througout Australia thousands of years ago before any western countries people ever discovered and set foot on their ancestors land. These genuine owners and inhabitants of these lands will always remain the true originals sent to live in Australia by the God Almighty thousands of years ago. Praise the Lord. 28:35

Why do you think something like this should have happened, residents weren't consulted and what does the founder of Sikhism have to do with Australia's genuine history
