Victoria Justice Revisits Nickelodeon’s Victorious and Making the Leap to Mature Content Like Trust

With Victoria Justice’s new movie Trust now available to watch in select theaters and on PVOD, she took the time to join us for an episode of Collider Ladies Night to revisit some of the most pivotal moments of her career and break down how they paved the way to her latest project.
Justice stars opposite Matthew Daddario in Trust as Brooke and Owen, a married couple who appear to be living the dream. She’s an art gallery owner, he’s a popular news reporter and they’re thrilled to be building a life together. But then doubt starts to creep in in the form of new temptations. For Brooke, it’s Ansgar (Lucien Laviscount) the new artist she signed, a suave painter with a thing for married women, and for Owen it’s Amy (Katherine McNamara), an aspiring journalist and a big fan of his.
For anyone who’s followed Justice’s work, you’re probably sensing that Trust is mighty different from the content that jumpstarted her career. After being a key part of Zoey 101, Justice went on to lead her own Nickelodeon show, Victorious. As one would expect, at a certain age, Justice set her sights on more mature roles to push her craft further. Hear all about her experience making that pivot on this edition of Collider Ladies Night!

She has suffered enough for something she DID NOT DO and it's about time she get's a big break and venture towards more success. Victoria Is An Amazing Actor! Her Singing Is Also On Point!! I watched Victorious in college; because I could tell that even at a young age, the cast (especially Tori!!) was going to do amazing things! When you see talent, you hope it's there. AND, IT WAS THERE!!!

Thank you for saying especially Tori because she really is Talented. There's a reason why the show was made specifically for her. Her character on Victorious was just the mature/grounded one In the group she was the most realistic character ever created in a children/teenager's TV programming.

Watching this interview I am wondering why did I ever hate her. she seem likes one of the nicest and respectful people. I am a huge fan of Ariana Grande and I think that some people twisted my opinion on her because some people who loved Ariana wanted her to fall and began to bully her. But I am glad that I dont think like that anymore. and her and ariana are friends now so can people stop pitting them against each other. you can lift one person up with out taring someone else down.

It all started when the show got cancelled and people thought it was cuz of Ariana because Sam and cat was announced , but before the hate getting too big , Ariana shifted the blame to Victoria , she said cuz Victoria wanted to tour , when that wasn’t the case , cuz from the very start it was already planned that they were going to make 60 episodes , so it finished when it was supposed to , writers didn’t prepare a finale tho , so I’m an Arianator too but I still don’t like what she did she could’ve handled it better , glad the cast is still friends
