They're both in the wrong here. Bringing in a foster dog without your live in partner's approval is really bad, especially when there's already several dogs they're already taking responsibility for. BUT, however inconsiderate that is and however rightfully mad you may be, that dog didn't do anything to you to deserve not being fed. They've already suffered a lot and you hurting them further to make a point, treating them like a prop you're using to demonstrate your grudge is absolutely despicable and morally bankrupt behaviour. And I'm sorry but that's not equivalent to your girlfriend being inconsiderate and causing and inconvenience for you.

@@brandyrush6781 I watched it again. The opening shot says a lot. Wife is holding her favorite dog, and the husband is handling the other 4. Scott showed that he's familiar with feeding and administering their medication. The dogs are totally comfortable with him and follow him around and hang out with him on the couch. The dogs know he's the one they can get attention from. His problem is that he's already doing 99% of everything for the household, including doing all the dirty work for the dogs his wife keeps bringing home. He's just insisting she take some responsibility for the animals she's supposed to take care of, and she's playing the victim. My impression is that Dina is a spoiled brat that just does whatever she wants and Scott is constantly cleaning up after her. He is sick of being her Dad instead of her husband. In all fairness these shows are heavily edited to make the owners look like the bad guys.

Two people with different views on life and life goals got together because God knows why, and it will come out in every part of the relationship. I imagine this instance went something like "Dina has a pug rescue before marriage, Scott accepts that but seems to think the world revolves around him, Dina feels invalidated and does not respect Scott's wishes, Scott feels forced and invalidated and doesn't fulfill responsibilities, Dina then worries for the dogs and becomes overbearing as she can't trust Scott, Scott uses it as a point in the relationship," and off we go. Savannah Schneider I mean, it is though. It’s not like the dog is going without food. He’s just not the one feeding it. He makes Dina do it. I think she can handle feeding 1 out of the 5 dogs they have in the house. My sister was like this where she would just keep bringing in animals and it wasn’t until her boyfriend made her do all of the care for them (besides taking them out when she was at work or feeding them if she was late [though he never told her he fed them. He made her think they went without being fed]) that she finally stopped bringing in animals. Do I think it’s childish to act this way and not feed just the one dog? Yes, it is. But it’s also childish to ignore your partner’s wishes and just keep bringing in dogs that he or she does not want.

@@shelbyroxx34 From what I understood, he fed the other dogs twice throughout the day while the wife was at work but left the foster dog hungry. Enough time passes where the other dogs get fed TWICE but the foster dog doesn't at all until the wife gets home? I could be wrong but it sounded like the wife leaves for work 5 days a week and he is home with the dogs those days. The dog should not have to suffer because his wife brought home another dog that was in need. It's not the pug's fault that they have issues and there's no excuse to take out his frustrations on a dog that didn't ask to be there.

I can kinda see where he’s coming from… you don’t just bring a dog in without talking with everyone it’s like having a kid it’s a lot of work and responsibilities and like he said if she sees him being great with the 5 dogs she might take that as a sign “I want another one” and just go ahead and get one. When living with other people and having other animals it’s important to make sure everyone in the household is okay with this new family member but I also understand that it’s a foster and he’s been through hell and deserves a good home but they still should’ve talked… honestly disgraceful on both parties.

I agree, I think a call to her boss as soon as she left it with him saying to take the dog back as soon as posible was in order and when she was back a discussion about the meaning of consent and thier future as a couple. Might not be the dogs fault, but the lady holds the blame in the situation for leaving the dog with an unwilling dog sitter. (Returning the dog to the rescue would be a far better choice than not feeding it, but he had to do something or this lady would have kept doing this and ended up a hoarder

Both adults in the house would need to be foster parents and 95% of the time you don't have a choice about it. You could pull up in your drive way and there's a social worker and a kid or two on your porch needing a place until they find another foster home.

Often it’s because people taking in the animal(s) in aren’t listening them beforehand. Getter disrespected by your loved one dumping more work to you without your consent is horrible feeling and if the work is too much it can make you miserable. Many times it seem to be desperate way to make the other see their point of view, to avoid more pets in the future and/or deep feelings of resentment from being put in to unpleasant situation. If your parter says “no” and especially “no more” to pets, you need listen themeven if it’s not the answer you want hear.

We fostered a dog and honestly no one in our family wanted to do it but he was in a really bad situation so we felt like it was our responsibility especially since if he went to a shelter they would have put him down. But we always made sure he had food and water and we took him on walks everyday. Only thing we didn’t do was spend a lot of time with him outside of caring for him.
