Oh my aching ribs.Seriously,this gem of a woman is simply one of the most creative women in Britain.One of her funniest lines was spoken by Susie Blake who portrayed the continuity announcer on "As Seen On TV" where she looks at the camera,eyebrows raised,& says,"We'd just like to apologise to people in the North......It must be awful for you". Even now,about 30 years after it aired,I still roar with laughter. Especially as I'd just moved from the North to the South when the Show went out.

Had the pleasure of seeing her many times. Was here at the Albert Hall watching her in 2001. Would have watched her on every tour - she was innovative, gentle and hilarious! FAR too young to be taken away. Thinking about her kids and hoping they're doing OK. :( - Cancer is taking everyone.

Of all the 'celebrity' passings so far in 2016, by far the saddest for me has to be Victoria Wood. Can't tell you how many times I've watched, and watched again repeat after repeat of 'Dinner Ladies': absolutely timeless, faultless comedy. This lady's observational humour will never be matched, even though many have already tried. So sorry she was taken at such a young age. I hope her children were blessed with her creativeness and wonderful sense of humour. What a lovely legacy. RIP xxx
