I watched another video this evening that included gilding. She said the flakes would be n her craft room forever, and that her cat probably already had gold bits on its paws. Well, your walnut is cute as can be. I actually have walnut shells in a processed cheese box I inherited from my crafty parents. I have acorns I collected, too. My house has become a place for me to “shop.” I’m so lucky to have everything I need. WELL, it’s extremely pleasant to see you here today. You’ve added to the holiday mood. Please visit us more often here on KZbin. You’re an amazing artist. 💜🧑🏻🎄💜

These are beautiful. Many years ago I got an engagement ring in a walnut. I gave it back a month later.

I was thinking it would be a lovely way to present a gift like a ring, or little pair of earrings. That's too bad about returning it. I hope you're wildly happy with your decision ❤

@@PixieHillStudio Absolutely! I married a wonderful man six months later.

Very cool. My mother used to make advent calendars with hollowed out walnuts and put tiny figures in them and glue the halves together. The 25th one had a baby Jesus. She found the walnuts easier to open if she baked them first. I don't know the details.

That's so lovely! And thanks for the baking tip. I'll give that a try when I make another batch

These are so cool - I'm going to make a friend one for her birthday. What are the tools you are using to smooth out the inside of the walnut?
@PixieHillStudio Жыл бұрын
They're old sculpting tools, but you can absolutely just use whatever you have on hand.
