Katie's channel is the biggest component to my Victorian Literature reading as well. Margaret Hale is such a great character. I just read North and South in October and it's so good, you should totally reread it!

Never too late to talk about Victorian literature😊 and Katie has had an impact on so many of us. There isn't a satisfying Middlemarch adaptation. Loved your tips and recommendations and plans. It made me happy how much enjoyment people got from The Way We Live Now. As it wasn't a complete success for you I'd say try his Barchester books if you decide you want to try him again.

I ADORE Dracula. It's so wonderful and Yes, I love the female characters. You should read Dr Thorne by Anthony Trollope (or another of his books). It's all about the romance and it's soo good. I found The Way We Live Now much more tedious and boring.
