truly amazing! I was too taken aback by the fairies part to focus on anything else

I'm glad! Unfortunately no one knows all the treasures found within the closest library to them. I'm hoping to peak people's interest by highlighting a few gems here and there. Thank you for watching :)

I found a copy of the Reverands book in color about twenty years ago and it's amazing...hand engraved plates.. I freehand engrave so it's a study...1861 copy

That's amazing! It's certainly a difficult one to try to replicate, best of luck! I hope your study of it goes well :)

:) Thank you for watching! Microscopes have been on my mind a lot lately, it was nice to explore them a little bit!

Those color illustrations are ridiculous! Is that an original book from 1863?

It sure is! Victorian printers and illustrators are something else. Edmund Evans has a lovely series on wildlife--he's spectacular! Here are some highlights: masseycollege.omeka.net/exhibits/show/florandfauna/edmundevans
