Victorian Parlor Pistol

During the mid to late 1800's (the Victorian Era) parlor guns were extremely popular in Europe and the United States.
They were small pistols that shot small caliber BB Caps (a pellet seated in a percussion cap), usually .22 or .17 caliber.
Only powerful enough to pierce paper, they were designed to be fired indoors.
Often Victorian homes had a special shooting parlor, thus the name "parlor gun".
Parlor shooting was a popular past time for middle and upper class Victorians when at parties and social gatherings.
Often times special tin swivel and pop up target galleries were created to add more challenge and excitement to the sport.
