I always admire Lieske’s writing. Regretfully, it wasn’t my favourite as this is the first that I have to say both lead female characters, Brooke and Remi, were irritating to me. But, I always appreciate the thought and quality that goes into the writing. The narrator was very good. As an aside, yes, one does have to make themself attractive to the person they are interested in. To suggest otherwise is a fantasy that only works in romance books.
