It’s like this so you don’t accidentally unlock while using it, if it was a back lock you would have to reposition it’s no big deal really unless you don’t have a left hand.

Это не тот нож где необходимо скоростное открывание. Этот нож любят сравнивать с Опинелькой, а в опинеле ты тогда вообще не сможешь открыть/закрыть нож? По своему опыту, при желании можно открывать/закрывать одной рукой как левой так и правой, только оно надо? Мне нет, не в этом ноже.

Yup, same as every 111mm linerlock knifes from victorinox... I think it is a sefety feature to avoid unwanted closing of the blade
