Nice review. Serrated knives, like normal bread knives and steak knives, have serrations on one side because the natural movement of your hand tilts the knife a bit. Using it in the other hand increases that angle, instead of offsetting it. It's about time Victorinox made some southpaw versions of their serrated tools... but this aside. Personally I absolutely love this front serrated edge with the waves. as they claim: it's makes for a tremendous bread knife, along any other kind of food. I have the same blade on another SAK (the cheesy one) and since I'm left handed I tried the following: I ran the whole blade, serrations and all, through my Global knife sharpening wheels, which put a very sharp angle on their edge. I did this till I saw the edge forming on the back of the blade. This new edge was so thin it didn't interfere with these wavy serrations. It probably would with more sharp aggressive serrations. But it did straighten the cutting angle out just enough to offset the annoying side tracking. I tested this knife thoroughly on bread, carrots, leak, tomatoes, cheese... and I must say: it cuts like a normal blade to me now, no more side-tracking. Oh, and it's not duller by any standard. All this to say: I'm buying the skipper next, the combo of having that same edge, but also the mini pliers (have a leatherman on me as strong pliers) and that marlin spike for paracord etc, it just makes a great knife. I always want a corkscrew on my 'food knife' so that's covered too. Between this skipper and my leatherman set-up, I think I'm covered from repairs to preparing dinner,

Great response, sorry I'm just replying to it now. I like to pair a Classic or Manager with multi-tools (MT) like this or a plier-based MT. That way, I always have a small, plain edged blade, toothpick, tweezers, and a light duty prybar. (nail file with screwdriver tip)

That’s a nice model. I prefer the 111 overall because of the safety the lock offers. I wish this was OHO like the pro but it’s in my shortlist because of the plier and no scissors because the spring breaks easily on that. The Hercules and the Work Champ are also in the running as they’re in the same price ballpark.

I've only had a problem with one scissor spring on all my SAKs over the years. It was an abused Classic.
