VICTORINOX Swisstool PLUS : I replace the ratchet with a FACOM ratchet (+ Victorinox catalog 2013)

We are not going to hide the reality any longer, the Victorinox ratchet is quite mediocre (40 teeth, bad locking of the bits, dubious robustness). I therefore propose the following modifications compatible with the two-slot sheath:
- FACOM R.180 ratchet with the T-bar extender,
- set of bits on rubber ramp (at least 11 bits).
On ne va pas se cacher la réalité plus longtemps, le cliquet Victorinox est assez médiocre (40 dents, mauvaise tenue des embouts, robustesse douteuse). Je propose donc les modifications suivantes compatibles avec l'étui à deux logements :

I've been using wiha double sided bits either with the leatherman ratchet, or the victorinox L shaped edc wrench. I actually like the simplicity of the wrench most of the time. It's just a solid chunk of steel with no small moving parts as weak links. And it's versatile as an inline screwdriver with some added torque, or use the other side if you really need more leverage. If I really need a ratchet I still carry the leatherman because it's so small and edc friendly, but most of the time I'd rather just use the L hex wrench. I've mixed and matched lots of different wiha double sided sets until I've settled on 20 that i carry on two ten hole sleeves. I was hoping that the victorinox bit holders would be able to hold the wiha bits in place so i can store them together with the wrench, but the holes were slightly too big and they fall right out. The quest for the perfect edc is always never ending, but thats also what keeps things interesting.

Does the Facom ratchet work with Leatherman Flatbits? I have been researching mini ratchets like this and this looks like a winner if it works with the Flatbits.

And leatherman charge+ in camo.. the swisstool packs the power of supertool 300 and surge but in more compact form... I can easily carry it in my pocket.. but the big leathermans not so much..

Négatif, le cliquet FACOM est magnifique, multifonctionnel, précis et robuste. Le support d'embout prend trop de place, il faut le remplacer. Je suis heureux d'avoir fait évoluer d'une façon fantastique le mode PLUS et j'invite Victorinox à proposer un autre cliquet.
