It would have been different if Restrepo played; however, A & M lost two players due to targeting. I would have traded 2 first downs and two starters on defense for Restrepo.. The mistake by stevenson returning the was the turning point of the game. Van Dyke sucess last year was part of Leshee's system. I believe Garcia might be a better fit for this offense. I was actually hoping for a different offense coordinator. Not that Gattis is bad just did not seem like a good fit for the quarterback. Maybe in the long term he will be good once he gets all the players he wants. Cristobol has proven himself a good recruiter I just hope he lets the coaches coach and stays out of the play calling. Miami is as good if not better than Texas A&M. It was clear that Miami psyched themselves out before they even started the game. They gave Texas A&M way too much respect. The quarterback overshooting receivers and receivers dropping balls everywhere was more than enough to kill the UM attack. I don’t think anybody expected Miami to run the table and make the playoff this year. I figured they’d lose 2-3 games with all of the new pieces that came in. Head coaches usually don’t come in and go undefeated in their first year, ya know? The recruits Cristobal will bring to Miami are A LOT different than the ones coming to Eugene. Miami is trending way up and if I had to guess, I’d say they’ll be replacing Clemson at the top of the ACC very soon
@jimedick94962 жыл бұрын
@@christopher7763 Try a little research before you comment. Look at Oregons recruiting for the last 5 years. They recruited and landed talent from all over. They’ve got 4 and 5 star talent and had top 10 recruiting classes with a few top 5. They recruited kids out of the southeast and landed them. That is the entire point to this thread, he can recruit like crazy, but the man is not a good coach!!! Justin Herbert is a prime example of decent field product, then goes into the NFL and lights it up. As far as Oregon fans, Cristobal was appreciated for getting Oregon out of the Willie Taggert mess and elevating Oregons recruiting. The same comments you see here, are the same comments about Cristobal’s coaching while at Oregon. Consistent frustration, game after game, even when Oregon won. Everyone understands why Cristobal left for Miami, it’s his Alma Mater and home. Who could blame him? They are salty because ‘how’ he left. It was shady as hell, and left Oregon decimated from recruits de-committing and coaches following or talking other jobs... He leveraged Oregon to get a better contract through Miami, all while promising to Oregon fans and school, that he has no plans on leaving. Cristobal literally pulled a “Slick Willie Taggert” when he left. He constantly talked about being a better man, family, dedication, sacrifice and doing things the right way. He did the opposite while sneaking out the door just before their Bowl game and signing day. So yes, Oregon fans are VERY salty. You would too if he’d pull that on your team.

I can not criticize the Mizmi offense too much, because A&M defensive team is big, quick, and tough! They made the Hurricanes look like a tropical storm, still capable of damage, but allowing A&M to have an opportunistic win, despite the statistics. A&M offense has room for improvement as their depth is developed. Aggies needed this win. They are still learning how to "gel" as a winning team, with so many new, young starters. Remember miami lost to app state and has a worse qb. This is now a prep school football team and after this single loss I hang up my miami fanship just like they gave up their swag. Please don't play ND because, the last time we played them was the last time we were good. Should have made the playoffs and faced alabama or Clemson that year maybe Ohio state. Probably would have lost but, it would have been a nice fairwell. Instead they lose to NC. Please stop getting excited about recruits or a new coach or a new year. For me miami aka the convicts have been put to the death penalty for their hanous excuse for a football team. Btw I lost 40k on the game believing in the hype one last time. And don't tell me they need time. LsU didn't need time when saban left. Try the next season they win the bcs. See the thing is your ether the best team in football or not. Miami is not and maybe in the next 60 years of my life they might be something but, I won't be watching.
