Victory at Sea IJN vs RM 27.12.2024

It was a big game with a remarkably small Admiral commanding the Yamato. 2200 points, scaled up to 2400 as both fleets rolled up priority missions. Ultimate Enemy vs Destroy! We had at it and some particularly large smoke markers were deployed.
The tactical enhancement were Australian Pale Ales, from a Christmas gift hamper sent by good friends.

Nice battle! I have a question though, couldn't you use the scouting rules to try and get more planes up from the carriers at the start of the game?

Thanks. In principle you can get plans up using scouting rules... we did use the scouting rules and didn't roll up a lot. I'd need to put destroyers and cruisers into scouting to try and get more scout points but it's a roll not an auto result, so no guarantee of success. The US have really good scouting options so might work better for them.
