Victory Declared In The First Great Console War (Atari Vs. Intellivision)

Atari under the command of General Wade Rosen, has declared a decisive victory against the Intellivision, as the great console war finally comes to a close with Atari purchasing Intellivision.

Bit of an odd time to call time on this battle. I figured that was decided in Atari's favour when the likes of the 7800 and Lynx continued to release but there was no Intellivision III or IV (apparently both were planned). 0:22 - Poor Fair Channel F getting ignored. Surprising that Magnavox Odyssey 2 also gets ignored in this console war debate, as it apparently sold 2 million units (I assume it was a case of it doing better overseas as the Philips Videopac G7000). 1:46 - Wait, the Amico actually came out? I thought that never saw the light of day after all it's development issues. 4:17 - Not really a fan of touch screens without a stylus but I appreciate the creative approach and attempt with it. 8:03 - Oooh, I thought of a fun idea. A compilation of Atari vs Intellivison games; getting two versions of multiple games in a collection. It'd be fun to compare the two. I believe Atari bought out Digital Eclipse, so they could also commission them to make a Intellivison Anniversary Collection game. 10:46 - Still a retail and physical game supporter myself. It's one of the reasons I own an Evercade; wonderful little console. 10:50 - I think Atari has been doing pretty decently for itself lately. Some of it's decisions seem a bit odd but the company seems healthy, keeps themselves known and have been very active, which is more than I can say for how Intellivision has been going.

A company that bought the Atari name buying the Intellivision name is not really a victory. Seems to me that both companies lost years ago. Not that it matters, both communities have great home brew scenes. Hope something good comes out of this purchase. I'm optimistic.

i care about cornhole and bowling because that's my only favorite sport i get that's not popular that it's unpopular and i also didn't mind that they didn't wanna add no m rated games either i was ok with that too i'm not an intellivison fan but i do love intellivsion i love what they was doing i had no problems with that i also wanna say that i'm only a fan of bally astrocade, sega and atari these are my only favorite video game companies i do also feel bad for intellviison fans i think it's ok if some don't like this news think it's bad news and some love this news think it's good news well for me i think this is great news to me i'm excited happy about atari acquire intellivison
