It shouldn’t scare if you’ve confessed you’ve sinned and need Christs death to apply to you and invite him into your life. That verse is speaking about people who think they will enter heaven by doing good works, and never received Christ’s gift of salvation which is free and not by works.

Agreed, there is no saving at that point and people want to play with his word. And not lead those who do bad or in addiction, mental health,etc. They need God most of all as brothers and sisters we're commanded to help one another see the light when in darkness even those who create it most of all need the prayers. We were not born this way and many have lost the path to God. I'm grateful for the faith have to forgive when I felt I couldn't.

I was listening to this on a 10 mile run training for a marathon, literally in tears as I ran, the story about Jonah trying to run from God and God brought him right back and also talking about this 2nd chance we all have. This message really hit home, anyone struggling with anything pray to ask God to see your true heart, tell him how much you need him and things will begin to change, first in your mind then life will follow. I’m thankful to God for my second chance. Going on 2 years sober from alcohol and about 6 months no weed it was hard but it was on my heart that I needed to let those things go, you can’t serve 2 Gods. Something just happened to my soul. When the people came to repent at the front of the church , I felt the Holy Spirit descend on me right here in my home. For years I’ve been a lukewarm Christian. Thank you Philip Anthony Mitchell. I turned to Jesus and gave my life to him after suffering from years of PTSD and Schizoaffective Disorder. I experienced auditory hallucinations and delusions. I found myself manically depressed walking on a highway miles away from home and only to find myself at a church in the middle of the fields. And behind that church in the dead of night was a firepit and I sat there and observed the stars of his creation. But I did not follow Christ. When an Uber driver came back to me and saved from near suicide that same experienced happened again. When I attempted to jump off a bridge and found myself bleeding behind a steering wheel. Jesus always saved me. I did not owe it to him. After years of battling addiction as my Schizoaffective Bipolar symptoms worsened Jesus saved me. I now owe everything to him everyday and every sin I commit. He has the greatest savior of my life I love you Jesus. He has released all my demons of my past and trauma I've experienced and it eventually circled back to the original church and pastor I knew years ago.

Remember Jesus also said “Blessed are those who haven’t not seen nor touched yet still believe.” He said this to Thomas who didn’t believe Jesus rose again until he seen his hands with the nail hole piercing in them. Jesus said Thomas needed to see him but those who have not seen him are blessed, those who haven’t seen him physically are the believers today he was referring to, and we are blessed. Remember God created you for this lifetime, he put your soul into your body for a purpose. Read and study the word of God, and watch how your understanding will open when you allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and not your human mind. Close all the doors that have access to your spirit. Such things as music, social media, willful sin like lust, all the things that keep you from seeking who God is. God is calling you to truth. Life in Jesus.

I am originally from Tanzania and I remember hearing pure gospel, I translated on pulpits etc: Simple pure Gospel straight to the core and heart. Never had faith in something I didn’t know. But kept getting a message have faith. Almost daily “have faith”. So I decided to have faith, in what I didn’t know. But I had faith that something will be revealed to me. I had complete blind faith. In faith I was led to Jesus Christ. I surrendered and accepted Jesus Christ as my lord in savior. Daily I give thanks for the gift of faith. I treasure it and never want to lose it because it’s through faith I was saved.
