Brother I’m a 58 year old white man and You have revived my heart! I’ve struggled with kidney failure for 42 years and ans gave my heart and life to Christ on October 25, 1987 and have found myself falling into sin. I had to sell my business in March 2021 due to my health after 28 years. I financed it to one of my employees who is a young black man because I wanted to see him prosper because he asked me to help him. He made 3 payments and stopped paying, sold off approximately 90% of my assets while pocketing all the profits. I say this because it caused me to have a hatred in my heart for him. I started to have an anger that continued to grow but knew I must deal with this immediately. I saw you online and seeing your love and steadfastness for Christ and The Gospel has revived me and led me to confess my sin. What a mighty word! My daughter sent me this video three days after I had been crying out to God in vulnerability about my fasting and prayer life (which she had no knowledge of, by the way). I asked Him to approve and/or correct me because I want to be doing it His way. If it weren’t for my new goals in which I care to incorporate God, I don’t pray too much about myself. I tend to pray for others. I worry about other’s salvation. I call God Abba or Father in prayer. Thank you so much for this teaching! I was up in the middle of the night because my husband is not talking to me because of anger. I moved to the couch because in order to punish me he put on a horror movie. I went to find one of your sermons and this one popped up! I started to watch and put it on pause because i felt led to go to battle! I travailed in tears for not only my husband but asked God for forgiveness for my part! and then told God that i will fast for the next 24 hours and then laid back down on the couch to hopefully sleep because the night before i was up all night because of the fight we had over his addiction to porn. Prayer is vital, we need it like we need air. And praying is not just you talking to God or making requests. It's actively listening for God's voice and waiting on the Lord.
