This was an ex girlfriend's favorite band and I basically forced myself to not listen to these songs for almost a year. The breakup was very hard on me since I genuinely loved the girl, but I've long since moved on, healed, have had another relationship, and have worked on myself for myself. Now I'm back and blown away by what I've been missing out on after that time without these songs. Even if it was her favorite, it doesn't mean I can't enjoy them too. Ex, if you're reading this, I hope you're doing ok now 1500+ miles away from Texas. I'm grateful for the experience our relationship provided me, and I've learned from my mistakes, but I've carried on with my life and I'm living it for myself now. I understand now that much like the song, you were just a damaged kid and didn't mean to hurt me, and I forgive you for all that you said to me you said to me that cold November day. I hope you found the love and care you need, and I hope you found the support you needed. I've made it to my dream school, I'm pursuing the career I told you I was going to, and I hope the same success for you too. I wish you well in life, and I hope you remember that people care about you and your well being. I know you hate the nickname I gave you, but I guess I'll see ya another time, Mighty Mouse.
