Oooo man. Why would you change that perfection. That car is just mint. Ran 7.50 like it wasn’t even trying perfectly straight.

@@rongravel4585, he had no choice. Back-half cars can only be certified to 7.50; any faster and a full tube chassis is required.

Nitrous, blowers or turbos all do the same thing. Most oxygen into the combustion chamber. If it was naturally aspirated then it would be considered all motor.

Hey Danny Glenn, Idk if your just referring to the size of Doc's car or what. But Doc's car is a Monte Carlo not an Impala. Either way they're both heavy cars with big ci motors. Both are SWEET and FAST.

Funny my name is Eddie & I had a 67 2 door impala, a little darker green in color back in high school in the early 70's. Me & my brother made what we thought was a hot rod out of it. Ain't no comparison to this fine piece of machinery. 1 good thing about that body style it had great weight transfer to the rear end when getting on it off the starting line. Mine was a 283 with 3 on the tree. Put a 4 speed in the floor with 3:73 rear gears in it. Had a full lift cam with hydraulic lifters, dome pistons, milled heads & 4 barrel carb. Huh that would make a good tow car for this bad ass machine.

How do you know how much of a burnout to do? Because if you get the tires to hot it affects your time. if you don't get the tires hot enough you lose traction. I'm guessing
@sbrmilitia5 жыл бұрын
Dmoney besides years of experience. The compound of the rubber makes a big difference. Watch NHRA today the long Smokey burnouts are a thing of the past. Technology that goes into the make up of the tires no longer needs to heated up as much as they use too. Most of the time your crew chief will back you up into the rubber you just laid down but it’s not uncommon these days a crew chief might line you up to the side of the rubber you laid down. Track prep, track temperature, and the tune you are running also goes into a crew chiefs decision on what the driver does for each pass.
@dmoney8435 жыл бұрын
@@sbrmilitia That you for that information.. It was something I was all curious about... Thanks for taking the time to explain that to me. Merry Xmas
