The Gambit is hands down the best controller I’ve used. Been using mine for nearly 2 years now and have not faced any major issues. Yes of course there’s stick drift but from my experience the controller is super easy to take apart and I’ve switched out the potentiometers on both sticks one time. That’s like a $1 fix for 2 years of use, compared to my previous power a controller where the cheap plastic paddles broke in under 2 months

I've had the victrix gambit for 6 months now. So far it looks good, but it may have a problem, if you use the buttons a lot everyday, the plastic paddles have these sticks that poke out to press the little buttons on the controller, these can wear down the actual buttons over time, I took them off to find plastic shavings underneath, probably only have about 4 more months in it.

Is there an actual controller that you'd recommend for fps shooters (with paddles/buttons) that would be the most reliable controller? As in, best reputable controller, I just want something thats not gonna crap out every other month from stick drift after paying 100-200 for a controller. From what I've seen the ones with better reputate (battlee beaver, aim) have a much lower warranty period which kinda sucks. Is it worth just getting the elite series 2 and getting the 3 year warranty? at least that way they can just replace it every time
@xMoulah2 жыл бұрын
As the owner of the three gambits (only paid for one) I can vouch for it as long as your batch is after the first couple runs. I also use the four button attachment fine so don't just right that off as Cuda suggests. The reason i own 3 is because my first one had an issue where the left stick actuated the right stick. Made a claim and the sent me two replacements (don't think they meant to).
@vCuda2 жыл бұрын
I've seen that issue pop up, I don't currently know what causes this. But people have reported it, and it's extremely strange. I'd assume something is wrong with the PCB the thumbsticks are attached to, instead of the sticks themselves, but I could be wrong And I didn't necessarily write off the 4 button attachment, I just said most people would likely find issue with it since there were many who wrote reviews/comments stating they did. A lot of 4 button/Paddles users are very specific about it being 4, so I ensured they had the best recommendation available for them!

I haven't owned any fusion controllers but I have owned the gambit. I think it's a great controller for the price but I feel as though the paddles need to be raised a little or have bumps on them so that they're easier to press. I found my hands we're getting sore after a while because I had to grip the controller so tightly in order to hit the paddles. Also there was something I didn't like about the accuracy of the stick, it felt like there was some sort of small center deadzone issue or maybe just increased thumb stick tension? Whatever it was I felt as though I wasn't as accurate as usual with that controller. I'd love to get your thoughts on what you think the best Xbox controller is currently in terms of thumb stick accuracy. For me the Thrustmaster eswap pro is king but I have had 2 of those controllers now and on both of them the thumb sticks have stopped functioning after just a month so I think I'm done with thrustmaster which is a shame because when it worked it was by far the best controller I've ever used and I've owned a lot of controllers.

at least when I look at a pro controller I expect the extra buttons, nice grips, and snazzy trigger stops. The gambit shits the bed in fancy buttonville. That being said, I would easily recommend a razer wolverine instead. Similar pricing, can come with more buttons, and you don't get any "budget" bs. Sure it may not be the fastest, but coming from someone who used to play super fast paced pvp, miliseconds don't matter nearly as much as good inputs do. I've probably have the most reliable Fusion Pro 1 controller everything works well still after a year no stick drift. I actually got my fusion pro 2 paddles and put them on my fusion pro 1 so the paddle experience is better still thinking of upgrading to a Xbox Elite Series Core

I would not make the change to elite you will notice that the josticks are less sensitive

I've had 6 power a controllers, a razer v2 chroma, a gambit and an elite 2, and the only 2 I'd ever recommend are the gambit and elite 2. Power a makes straight junk. Take it from someone who had to warranty swap like 5 of them lol
@wolfiez37732 жыл бұрын
Yeah power a is straight garbage. And the elites are nice but like fragile in a way.

What was your issue with the razer?
@Extermin8ed2 жыл бұрын
@@quidaccidit1107 Nothing regarding reliability, just didn't like the paddle design and the thumbstick feel. Couldn't hit my shots with it.
@Extermin8ed2 жыл бұрын
@@quidaccidit1107 I saw your other comment on the gambit, and if you aren't crazy about the gambits thumbsticks, I'd definitely avoid the razer. Everything you described about the gambits thumbsticks is 10x worse on the v2 lol. They felt very stiff and wildly innacurate on all of the software settings.

@@Extermin8ed Yeah I feel the same way about the Razer

I don't own a gambit but I own a pdp rematch (30 dollars) and the power a fusion pro 2 and I like my pdp rematch more than the fusion lol

@@marqsusedparts957 oh since this ive actually bought the victrix gambit, and I have been using it regularly since it. the analogs are calibrated extremely well (for both the pdp rematch and the victrix gambit.) the analog sticks are really sharp and ramp up quickly on the fusion. I own both now but since writing this message I havent found a better controller than the victrix gambit. but also the fusion is a great controller as well.
@sevn87578 ай бұрын
@@marqsusedparts957 since this post Ive bought the victrix gambit. the analog sticks are calibrated better. the fusion is has a fast ramp up speed, its a matter of opinion though i suppose. Ive been using the victrix gambit since launch though and since that time I have not been able to find a controller I like better.
