I have been having issues with connecting to a new wifi device. I have been looking for a couple of weeks to find the best explanation. This by far is the best video explaining the steps. Thank YOU.

You might run into issues, when connecting both the Lynx-Shunt and the CAN-BMS: The Lynx-Shunt will be forced to be the main battery monitor and you can't chage it in the settings...I experianced that a while ago. But It might have changed until now.

Hi Andy. I've noticed that your cerbo gx has serial number HQ22**. and there is an issue with internal power supply. when you connect your cerbo to 48v it can die.

Hi Andy, Andy?...you sound like you would have a German-speaking background?....Andreas? Well, I am Otto and not busting on knowing about all of this, I try to learn. I am a long-retired, office machine technician, originating from Vienna. Because I run my system on 24 Volt, where should I get the 5.5 Volt supply from for my two in-line Lynx distributors to get the system indicator lights working? I have a basic Victron Cerbo GX and on top, at the far left I have two USB positions free, should I join a USB cable, cut one end off, and link it up with the yellow & black wire of the supplied cable that came with those Lynx distributors? We/A&O made up a solar panel to the battery bank system, controlled with Victron elements, output 220 Volt to overcome those many power-out situations we have in rural QLD to protect the goods in our fridges & freezers and issues when printing 3D when the PC goes wild with the printing program. Ergon Energy has the habit of supplying at times too little and even far too much electricity (up to 260 Volt) and some of our appliances did not like that and did quit on us......and you ask what name to give to the Cerbo GX, this unit is very smart - remember who Idefix was? (Idefix & Obelix). Stay awesome, cheers!

Hi Andy i have a question about the relays on the cerbo. i have a server rack with 5 BYD 5k batteries, the rack has a built in fans in the top that are 240v. i have the temp sensor from the cerbo running into the rack and wanted to have them turn on when we have hot days. I can see how to operate the relay from the temp sensor but im not sure on how to make the cerbo's relay switch on some form of 240v relay to activate the fans. Is this able to be achieved Ryan

The wifi connection direct to the Cerbo GX is really only used to setup the wifi, with a laptop or computer if you don't have bluetooth available. I see no other convenient use for that.

@OffGridGarageAustralia2 жыл бұрын
Did you hook yours up to the 48V battery directly? There is a known problem with that. Just needs a 100uF cap parallel to the power input pins. 12V and 24V should be fine. More info here: community.victronenergy.com/questions/150136/faulty-cerbo-gx-devices.html

I also tried newer versions but nothing Apparently I don't have it. I don't want to do it in CERBO GX because I'm afraid that if something goes wrong it will spoil the whole firmware Well, for now, greetings from Poland :-))

'Crooked' 'plumb' or 'Un-level'? or is it all in the eye of the beholder? I am reminded of a few electricians and inspectors who where OCD with levels, even on floating offshore platforms and mobile structures, who insisted crooked and cock-eyed things be installed perfectly plumb to gravity. Also, I recall a few cock-eyed professionals with cock-eyed levels who trusted cock-eyed bubble rather than their own cock-eyed eyeballs.
