well, you don't really know but my impression was indeed that kai as well as suho and probably a whole lot more of EXO guys were praying for SHINee to win this daesang instead of themselves. it would have been so incredibly bitter if SHINee had lost to EXO even more so than losing against g-dragon or whoever else was nominated. so it was probably 5 ppl who had already given up and 12 still hoping that SHINee would be artist of the year. pretty much the most moving award ceremony i've ever seen.
