Principal Lauren Dressback is not only a stellar educator within the Vestavia Hills City School system, she is also a friend... She's being railroaded for no other reason than she has had the courage to come out as a lesbian and live her life in the light.

I am so glad that you have made these videos!! Good for you for speaking the truth and standing up for those who don't, or aren't allowed, to have a voice in this matter right now!! I also commend you for calling out who's responsible for this and saying exactly what it is, discrimination!! I agree with you 100% when talking about owning it. If someone has a difference of opinion or different beliefs than I, that's ok! But I'll always respect that person for at least having the courage to stand up for what they believe in!

Thank you for speaking out on this. As an alumni of VHHS I'm not at all surprised by these actions, sadly. I wish there was more I could do to support Lauren. I have nothing but good memories of both her and her mom from my high school days.

Vestavia Hills High School class of 94 here.........I've known Lauren for well over 30 years and what is happening to her is complete bullshit!!!!!!! #istandwithlauren

I love how his only response is "we would never discriminate against a person based off of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc", but if that's the case why can't they give us a straight answer as to why this is happening to Lauren?????
