I've watched lots of videos about worm bins and changing the bedding, and each one shows all the successes. I aim, as with all videos, is to try various methods instead of repeating the same. What works for one person, may not for others.
For me, this method was too long-winded - as mentioned in the video, the Worm Gang and Bokashi videos are designed to show the pros and cons, things going wrong and right, and the outcome.
I sprayed the new bedding with rainwater as it needs to be 70%-80% damp (I accidentally cut this section from the video!).
1: two worms escaped, and could be from the disruption or unlevel stacking of the trays
2: because of the stacking system, you can't move too much bedding to one side
3: The relentless damp weather place an effect on the bin moisture
Coming in March -
1: emptying the working tray using another method but I need sunlight. Here in the UK we have endured countless days of rain over the last few months.
2: housekeeping with the liquid collection tray
Coming in April -
1: cost of living worm bin
2: kids wormery
