Hi I have the same one, I was wondering is it best to remove the thing at the front when cleaning the carpets or leave it on ? I’ve found that my one keeps taking up old carpet isn’t normal?

I think if you have any old frayed parts of carpet it will suck it up and anything else loose. I always like to remove what I can to clean. There are a couple more videos too for this brand.

Would this work/is it safe for plastic dog bowls? I mainly use stainless steel dog bowls but 2 of my 3 require a slow feeder food bowl and I can only seem to find slow feeders in plastic material, ugh. But I have this build up on the plastic ones too… :-/

@@sneab2 so pleased it helped. I have a video on how to assemble and film things when doing something for the first time to make it realistic and the nozzle was a nightmare so I cut a huge chunk out. Then made this one when I found a way to remove it. I think whoever wrote the instructions at Vax hadn’t tried it themselves 😂

I always recycle cardboard in my worm bin. It provides protection against flies and bugs, and a dark and moist place to hide. But aerating the soil (by turning it), I found plastic in the working tray.

@@babsbiro thanks for the message - have a look at the other videos as well as try to records the good and bad. If lots are clingy to the sides it could mean the bin contents are too wet, too much food, pot worms, rotting food, ratio between food and carbon incorrect. Even not enough airflow. I tried the bread and milk method and discovered the pot worms are attracted to the bread and milk. I would never use this method regulary because of the dangers of dairy to compost worms. This #short demonstrates the effectiveness of 'collecting' white pot worms into one place only. The problem is removing them so laying the bread on newspaper for easy removal from the worm bin. Thank you so much for making them - most people only really assemble the composter, show it on day 1 and then never make a video again - yours have been so educational! Hi Laura, I am so pleased you took the plunge. Yes there’ll be more. I am moving in August so it’s been chaotic so my worms will be on there travels again. I’ll have more room in the garden too. I am going to start something along side it too …. My worms are doing really well and giving birth left right and centre. I’m also thinking of buying a mini 10l bin too. Love trying out different things. So glad you follow. Very encouraging for me. Oh bokashi is good to do for good the worms can’t eat. I have a playlist too x

@@poppyspets I moved into my first home in February - it's a Victorian terrace so the garden is little more than just concrete flags and a few pot plants at the minute 😬 We have one of those food waste buckets that the council collects but it smells awful and sometimes they don't empty it, so I'm very tempted by bokashi (I watched those videos too!), I just don't really have anything to use it in right now. I've heard that you can put the finished bokashi waste in with your worms, is that true?

I’ve read that people put bokashi into there worm bin but I don’t because it contains the toxic foods. I think use for the toxic foods and just give the worms the safe foods. I’ll be digging up my garden and adding the bokashi before planting … hopefully late August early Sept. I’m so excited. I’m staying with family and most of my pot plants are here - it’s a congested garden lol so it’s been difficult to film much.

@@poppyspets it all depends on when the cats come into your garden. The cats that come into my garden only come in at night. So I turn it all the way down during the day and turn it back up before bed. I do the same when the kids are out playing too.
