we only used part of the pieces in the mounting kit that Talladega sent... NOTE, THEIR KIT REQUIRES WELDING anyway, so we custom fabricated our front mounts and this is how we installed the front, middle and rear mounts on a Peterbilt with Low Air Leaf rear suspension

No, there's no reason a decent weld would break. Since we installed this one we have been fabricating our own mounts. There is no reason to pay for shipping misc pieces of metal across the country. Since we have to fabricate pieces, weld it together and paint it anyway, it is easier to just buy the metal locally. At least for us, because we have several local steel suppliers.
