Hello Bob I am French and I would rate my English level as 3 out of 5. Your tutorials are exceptional. Your pronunciation speed is perfect. Your explanations are clear and precise. Even the biggest training professionals don't have your quality. And in addition, you offer them to us with ease. Bravissimo! Sincerely and kindly Jean-Jacques

Thanks again Bob. I wish I had watched your videos before I had wired up my blocks. Busy disconnecting all my turnouts from blocks and connecting them to the main bus.

You can turnout as effectively like a 'block' on their own by simply using a feedback on the turnout. This will tell you if there is something on the turnout. What you cannot do is have a turnout within a block

Hello Bob, have recently found your excellent videos, to say I'm delighted would be an understatement . Very professional and well thought out. Delivered in such a clear any easy to follow manner. Just cant wait for whats to come. Thank you so much and many thanks to you and Iain . This is the missing link that iTrain desperately needed. Just brilliant!!

Thanks once again Bob You never fail to deliver a very clear and informative video. A great series which must take you a lot of time to make, and which I, for one, really appreciate.

Cheers, Ron. I'm learning too as we move through this. Bit of a roller coaster ride for me. Sometimes think I have taken on too much with the amount of time it consumes, but the positive comments keep me going. Couldn't do it without Iain's help, though. He's the real star.

Hi Bob, I noticed that you have occupancy status on your turn outs, ( When they didn’t clear the Steam train ). I’ve looked at the Option tab on the turnouts but unsure which block to link them to.
@bobfuller2 жыл бұрын
Good question. Actually, the turnouts on this layout do not have occupancy sensors. The reason the line remains occupied across the turnout is purely due to iTrain's calculation. iTrain knows the length of the train and knows the stopping position in the block. iTrian therefore knows that the train is overlapping into the turnout and therefore has not cleared the red line. If you want to know how to set up occupancy sensors in a turnout, check out this post on the iTrain forum. www.berros.eu/itrain/forum/viewtopic.php?p=176714&hilit=turnout+feedback#p176714 Search the forum for "turnout feedback" or similar and you will find other posts.

Hi Bob thanks for another wonderful video I’ve tried a long left click on a block to free it up with a lock and nothing happens. I’m windows 10 laptop Cheers matey Steve

Hi Bob, is it possible to have a route complete say an out and back and then have it re-run that route in reverse, without creating a reverse train route (if that makes sense).
@damenfeld4 жыл бұрын
Alan, if the train is a bidirectional train such as a railbus then simply restart the route and the train will repeat the route. If the train is directional, has done the out and back and is now facing the wrong way then you will need to shunt the train to somewhere that it can start the route in the forward direction. If you need more assistance can I ask that you post the question with your layout plan in the iTrain forum? Iain Morrison
@BanditEssex4 жыл бұрын
@@damenfeld hi, it's bi directional but it's finish is on an outer incline and it's start is on an inner decline (same slope different rails).
@damenfeld4 жыл бұрын
@@BanditEssex that sounds like the start and end point are not the same therefore it is a point to point route and you will simply have to entre the route that you want it to follow from the current end point to the current start point from where you can make it repeat as often a you want. In effect you are creating a shuttle route. The best place for iTrain questions and support is the iTrain forum where you can search for existing answers and get support from several people berros.eu/itrain/forum/viewforum.php?f=1

Thank you. It is very helpful. I just find your channel. I make a shuttle train from a sample from the forum, with some modifications it works. I still do not understand how to change color on the active route, maybe I'm calling it wrong. Can you please look at my video?
