Hi there! I first watched your video several years ago in college, and used it as a guide for a paper craft project. I had since lost the link to this video, yet always thought back to it any time I worked on cards. I even remembered that you originally made one for your dad. Funny how brains work! I'm glad I've found it again after all this time. (It's saved now) Anyway, glad you're still active and creating. Thank you for the tutorial. Stay inspired!

I love these tri-shutter cards. My son's birthday is coming up. So I'll make one of these for him. He waited for a looooong time for a child, so I'll put Mason's pix on this one. Of course I'll have to make one for my DIL for hers and then the other gramma for hers. Then of course, one for me. lol And we'll all love them. Thanks very much for this very easy to follow tutorial. Hugs, Jess

Simple cuts. The finished project is stunning. Looks way more complicated than it's relatively simple construction.

The recipient was a colleague, of my fella, who was leaving for another job. I put plain matting on most of the card, so lots of people could sign it. My fella said everyone was very impressed by it. His colleague was really pleased too! 😊

This card is awesome!!!!! I can't wait to try and make one of these. I have to watch the video again to get all of the measurements down...was so engrossed in watching I didn't write anything at all down :) I would love it if you had a list of all needed papers, cutter, glues and tools to make this card..along with the placement of all creases and cuts..followed by verbiage on how to complete once everything has been cut. You make that card look so wonderfully easy I just can't wait to try and make one! Thank you so very much for your very clear and concise tutorial!

Love, love, love it. Made one using black and vanilla paper and Stampin' Up!'s Typeset DSP, using the newspaper print and the striped papers. Made the pictures "Antique" and my Darling Doily Thinlit (also from SU) for my center piece. It turned out amazing. Thank you for the video and your awesome talents.

Enjoyed your video am geared up to go and try it out. By the way have you ever seen the closed captions to these you tube videos. They can be a great laugh with the words that don't match the instructions. I had closed captions on as the washing machine and dishwasher were both going and couldn't hear very much.

❤️it. Do u use any magnets to keep the center on the other side?
@RedCardinalCrafts6 жыл бұрын
Laboricuamamys2002 Hi, I did not use magnets but I suppose you could. The idea is that it could be displayed on a table top with it slightly open.
@Laboricuamamys20026 жыл бұрын
RedCardinalCrafts ty. Did u use heavyweight cardstock or 65 pound
@RedCardinalCrafts6 жыл бұрын
Laboricuamamys2002 I would have just used the 65lb paper that I get at Michael’s. Once you overlap the pieces it’ll make the card thicker and give it more stability, if that makes sense.

Hi Preeti, I cut the paper with a "Fiskars" paper trimmer, I scored the paper with the "Martha Stewart score board" and I just used card stock for the card's base and just patterned paper to decorate it. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
