Hedges and self sets get a severe pruning courtesy of the TMK Tree Shear, George’s attempts at ploughing are short lived and the Country Park’s biomass boiler is topped up with wood chip. #videodiary #oddlysatisfying #workingfarm

The shear is a pretty neat piece of kit to watch at work. Certainly quicker and easier than doing it by hand with a chain saw. Your Fendt had definitely found the soft spot of all soft spots in the field to get stuck so badly in there.

Interesting video. Even a Fendt can get well planted. LOL

Services already on the digger, just got someone to wire in the solenoid power feed and relay to a button, that was already on the digger joystick.

Did you have to do any training before you used the shear or was it a case of picking it up as you go along?
@JDautopower8 ай бұрын
No training given, just watch videos on KZbin lol and pick it up as you go! You soon learn.

Great vid. Would you show the joystick next time you’re using it? How many services does it use to swivel, collect and cut? Cheers
@JDautopower8 ай бұрын
Thanks, yes I will show you the joystick controls next time I use it, not a problem. It uses two double acting services, one for the cutting/collecting and one for the rotator. The collector part runs in sequence, with the cutter, holding in every time you cut. The you decide it’s full or just want to release the contents, you press a button on the joystick in conjunction with pressuring the cutter cylinder up and it opens the collector. Basically there is a solenoid on the shear which diverts oil flow.

@@JDautopower is it a kit or did your digger have it on? My 4.8ton Volvo only has 1 function. I’m after a tree sheer for it. Looks hellofa tool

We have a 433 acre corn,and soybean farm in the US.3,000 acres in England is a very large estate,have your Family owned it long?
@JDautopower8 ай бұрын
It’s not owned by my family, I only work on the estate, but it is owned by a private family, not a company.

I think you have a serious problem in that field, I think you were lucky to get it out without any damage.

Your right, we do, talks with the water company are ongoing about it. Never been right since they put the pipe line in.

I see that you put 10,000 hours on a 7920.It looks as though you have switched to Fendt tractors?
@JDautopower8 ай бұрын
Yes the 7920 was a good tractor. That was at another farm to this one. All Fendts here nearly now, personally i think they are better than JD’s

Tough one that, Ploughing used to be for many years, but I like driving the combine and many other jobs, so I haven’t really got one now, they are all favourite ones lol.
