There's this theory where Rosé, Jennie, and Lisa are dead and Jisoo is the only one alive. In the teaser, Jisoo is the only one looking at the camera while the others just close their eyes/ look away. There's also a die/death sign somewhere in the mv i think. Jisoo is the only one without a man. Love hurt her friends. Lisa: Loved her partner so much that after they broke up, she jumped off the rooftop. There's something written on her hammer for more evidence but i forgot it lol Jennie: Jennie and her partner were in an unhealthy toxic relationship so she decided to seek medical help but it wasn't working. Her partner brought her flowers in the car and she went hysterical and had a fight with them, resulting to the car crash Rosé: Rosé tried to keep her relationship alive by continously doing activities with their common interests. It wasn't enough because they broke up. She eventually fell into a deep depression and drowns herself in the bathtub. There's also a slight stain of blood on her cheek. Jisoo: Jisoo couldn't bear the death of her friends. She was in denial about everything that has happened. All the scenes where the girls are together was just her memories. Her scene where she was in a flower field were her dreams of being happy and at peace. The hourglass means that she wishes she had more time to help the girls. She eventually couldn't take it anymore and drowns herself, feeling no emotion. Nothing. Ending: either its a flashback or a memory of when they were all together or its the afterlife where they all found eachother again and are happy. Saw a post on Twitter about it so I tried to type it without looking at it so sorry if I'm wrong about the details of the theory 🤠

The MV theory from twitter: Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé passing away and Jisoo narrates the unfortunate events end eventually kills herself at the end. Notice their teaser photo, the one that Jisoo looking at the camera and the girls are looking tired. Due to the toxicity of Jennie's relationship, it affects her mental health and trying to find help from the mental hospital but no one can help her. Her boyfriend bough her flowers to ease the situation but she went hysterical which then led their to the car accident. (checkd the mv) Lisa, she's the one who carried the whole relationship. But her boyfriend left her. Because of heavy sadness it leads to suicidal thoughts. The footage where she's on the rooftop. To end her life, she jump. Rosé is in a very in-denial relationship. Trying her best to keep it together keeping their common interest alive, but they never truly worked out. The depression grew deeper and so she decided to drown herself in the bath tub. (Notice every clue on her part) Jisoo is broken but at the same time the flower scene express her drive with staying positive and moving on. Blue flowers represents hope and beauty of things. You can also see her holding an hour glass in where in the sand seem to be falling off but it actually going on the opposite way. Means she want to turn back. How she wish she run faster to save her friends(the scene where she run as fast as she can) -but it was too late. Then we see where they are all in a happy scene. Jisoo cherish that moment. She remember her favorite memories with them. After Jisoo memory lane, we see jisoo in the pool with bloodshot eyes and a sign that says "NOTHING" tryin' to move on but she feels "NOTHING" without the girls. Hence the lyrics of Jisoo "You pity me but i pity you more for pitying me" she could no longer take the agony so she drown herself in the pool. Last scene, we see them reuniting at the afterlife where in their favorite pink mustang. I KNOW! THIS HIT SO HARD🙃

For me it somehow feels like they're showing us the stages of moving on. Denial - Lisa when she was with the guy but does not look happy. She knew it was over but it still holding onto the relationship. Anger - Jennie in the first verse where she was fighting and arguing with the guy and all letting out all the anger. Bargaining - Jisoo when she was running away. It feels as if she was not ready to face the reality that (the love?) was not present anymore and trying to run away from the pain. Depression - Rosé (great acting btw) crying scene after she splashed black all over the pink painting. It feels as if sad af. And it feels like the time that hurts the most when everything you see reminds you of the other person or the relationship and you just want to forget. Acceptance - Finally! The ending where they were all happy in the fields driving away from the pain and accepting that everything was bound to happen and they deserve happiness 🥺🥺 P.S. might be over analyzing this but whatever 😂😂😂

I like in jisoos solo part the movement of the camera sort of flowed with the flowers moving in the breeze. Also I agree about Jennie's part maybe would've been clearer with less images (as in maybe don't flick back to when she's crashed because we already know that) . In my opinion lovesick girls is simply about the dating ban in korean music industry when it comes to their idols, and blackpink did a great job conveying those feelings...acknowledging that they'll eventually feel lonely the moment they step in this cruel and capitalistic, perfect image ideals that the industry want them to portray... and feeling those emotions up to this day makes them so lovesick that it made them realize that they were born to be alone and nothing else but then again in the end of it all they've realized while accepting their fate they know that they will STILL try and try over and over again to find LOVE and the hopelessness of finding love that would make them feel lovesick. Here's my theory for each love scene the girls had. Jennie: Probably had a toxic relationship it's either her being the toxic one or it's either the guy in the car. Lisa: Maybe she's continuously going back to her exes? since she's she's rapping about them and then got this sudden courage? Jisoo: Is the only one without a man so it's probably her running away from love maybe cause of pass experience or maybe because she's scared. Rose: Is the one who looked like had the healthiest relationship but had the saddest one. Yeah its supposed to have a disorienting feeling!! Because the song is about a girl who is in a cycle of falling in love and breaking up and just doing it over and over again to the point she can feel nothing! So that explains to why its so disoriented and keeps comming back to the dark because even if she reaches the light she will always go back to the dark because it is a cycle and it keeps repeating. I love that he was honest about the beginning part with Jennie being confusing. When I watched it for the first time I thought the same thing and I felt bad for not liking it, but he's right! It was too fast to really understand what was going on. Your eyes didn't have time to land on anything in particular and process what you were seeing. The jump cutty parts that he was talking about throughout the first half of the video, to me, just felt like it left something to be desired. Every time it cut I would get so annoyed because I wanted to see more of the choreography, background, outfits, or something like that. Not to say that I didn't like the video, because Jordan was also correct in saying that the second half got WAY better! I did like it as a whole, but the beginning-ish part was just a lot. Also, Jordan sayin "Her nails are super ratchet" got me hahaha! I know it wasn't meant to be funny, but it just was!

The real meaning of this mv was painful. The whole scenery of this mv was all Jisoo’s memory with her and the girls when they were still alive. The part where we saw the girls crying was them struggling with their relationships and the one where you see Jisoo in the flower fields is like her being the sunshine of the other 3 girls, her giving them hope. The scene where you see them in like the super market, dancing, eating popcorn and etc where just scenes in her memory. Also, the scene where you see Jisoo running is her trying to save/stop her friends from ending their life together with the pain. And it takes us to the next part where she is in the middle of this pool like thing with the sign NOTHING, representing that nothing was left to her anymore, her friends were gone so she also decided to end her life by drowning her self. Then on to the next scene where they were on a car, in the middle of nowhere, being all happy and free. This represents them being united again in another life.

This song/MV shows/is about death, suicide, and stuff like that and at the end (car scenes) shows them reuniting together after. Jisoo was the only one not in love with a guy, the scene where Jisoo had the time thing, as you can see it is going backwards (giving her that time again to save her memebers, but she was too late) then she drowns herself in the pool. the "NOTHING" in the back of her shows that she has nothing left. The one with Jennie's scene she had a fight with her boyfriend and then you notice that the pace got a little bit slower when her car crashed, it's because she died. In Lisa's scene wherein she destroyed that car with a bat, it actually symbolized her destroying her friendship and closeness with the girls for the relationship. In Rose's scene wherein she was covered in black paint, that symbolized her drowning in the toxic relationship. Then Jisoo's scene came where she chased the car, it meant that she was chasing their friendship.In Jisoo's scene with the bg "Nothing" that was the part wherein, she got suicidal since the girls were gone so she drowned herself, after that scene you realized that the girls were together in a field with pastel colors and they were having fun in their car (it symbolized their togetherness and friendship), it was their afterlife. The reason why in all of Jisoo's scenes and the scenes wherein all of them are together are paced slow its because Jisoo was the only one left alive from the toxicity of the relationship and when they were together.

So there is a theory going around that this mv is actually jisoo’s memories of the girls when the were still alive.. so with jennie in the beginning you can see she crashed the car(this is where she died) after her boyfriend tried to comfort her after therapy( her second scene) but went insane. With lisa you can see its a one way relationship and her love is not returned and so she jumped off of a building where she died. Rose had an explosive relationship where she tried to keep saving while she got extremely depressed and drowned herself in the bathtub. Jisoo is the only one without a boyfriend and in her first scene you can see how she wants to turn back time to maybe save the girls. All off the scenes where they are together is what plays in her favorite memories of the girls. And in the rain scene you can see she is in denial and feels nothing. But this is just a theory tho 🧐🧐

Honestly, the tropes of MVs. BP are always travelling in some sort of vehicle. An ice cream truck, BMX bikes, toy cars, a bus, motor scooters...And cars seem to represent relationships. The nice open top Cadillac in this vid with them all in it looking happy, kind of echoes the jeep looking thing they travel in in Whistle, which is alternately frozen in ice when the lyrics are sad! Rose tries to run herself over in Kill This Love. And in this scenario the writing is on the car. "U + me 4 ever" etc. This is in contrast to Solo, where Jennie is on top of relationships breakdowns and also riding on top of a sports car with the words "not even a distant memory" scratched on it in lipstick.
