about her saying the b-word or not, yes it’s intentional. the word “shining” in korean is “빛이” (pronounced ‘bichi’) which obviously sound similar to the b-word in english. teddy (blackpink’s producer) does that a lot. he uses words in korean that sound like something else in english. so in this case it could either be “i’m a shining solo” or “bitch now i’m (going) solo” and jennie herself said the b-word when they performed at coachella, you can tell she pronounced it differently lol it’s genius actually

Actually 빛이 doesn't really that obviously sound like the b-word, to the point that several Koreans I saw watching the song were confused as to what she was saying. In Korean, you'd say 빛이 나는 (bichi naneun) or 빛나는 (binnaneun); the pronunciation "bich naneun" that she consistently uses in this song is alien to Korean, and was 100% done on purpose to say the b-word but still have plausible deniability :D (not disagreeing with you, just expanding!)

Gosh I never thought taking off the dress has a meaning. You made mo realize what is the meaning of that scene and pretty cool. Undressing pink means removing some the soft side, putting in the laundry means erasing a part of a broken heart's memory, and the black garments mean turning into someone stronger. Me too. This song give me genuine vibes. It's not a try hard hit-maker song (though it's a hit). It give me absolutely different pov of Jennie different from her image in blackpink which is savage, wild, untouchable, swag, etc. She showed her true personality here that she can sometimes be vulnerable. When I first heard she has a solo project I thought her song will be similar to CL or GD which is more on rap, but this song highlight her vocals. It's not too noisy and yet not too boring, it's perfect.

빛 (bich) in Korean means shine. Direct translation of what Jennie says: "Shine! I am solo", which is probably closest in meaning to "I'm a shining solo" as it is subtitled. However, if you watch Jennie's live performances, she seems to really enjoy singing this word in this song because she overemphasizes it live. Edit: If you want to check out an example of Korean lyrics that sound REALLY inappropriate due to what words sound like in English, check out Psy's "Champion". Wait for the chorus.
