I think at the last scene she was up and down, levitating and back to the ground. I think she has already adjusted herself now. To be a ROSÈ and Roseanne. Since her family is in Korea now. As we know, she went through many years without her family after debuted. Without her family, she is ROSE and whenever she gathered with her family, she is Roseanne

@siddheekumar22283 жыл бұрын
Okay I noticed something. Every time she's shown in all of her fame and reminiscing about the earlier times, about the times "On the Ground" her hair is tied up and her face is clearly seen but in all of the shots where she's trying to reach above like go "Up", her hair is open and is flowing in her face, as if shielding it? I read somewhere that "On the Ground" means out of the spotlight and fame. So is the hair in her face supposed to show anonymity? Like when she's on the ground she's able to be Roseanne without the pretext of Rose, the kpop star, where she shares the normalcy of everyday life with everyone else? Being a no one?

Same thoughts! Her makeup and hair was much more glamorized in Rose, the kpop star, scenes. Much heavier and covering up her natural features (dat heavy eyeliner look doe). While Roseanne Park scenes were very girl-next-door in hair, makeup, wardrobe, and demeanor. Her most chaotic looks were with the purple fur jacket and the running with pyrotechnics, which hint at the chaos of living under the spotlight and "blowing up into global superstars". The most poignant ensemble for me was the first one they showed, Rose in the simple but bold blackpink outfit but with minimal HMU. It's like she struck that balance, looking at her past self (the piano scene) and what she's been through, and finding the balance between Rose and Roseanne Park. And then that final scene floating among the flowers, all made up in a fancy dress, but still visibly Roseanne Park in freedom, just highlighted that.
@ianxnie3 жыл бұрын
She didn't talk about love life, nor heartbreak, she talked about reality in life, she expressed her own experiences, she let us see and know her inner turmoils through this song, her confusion towards what really success is, and the transition of Rosé to Rosanne, she's telling that both are her, whatever name she uses, on screen or off screen, she's Roséanne Park, Her realization, her development, her growth, she's sharing it all with us😭 I've always known Rosé as the most emotional one, this song might not have the most powerful beats and hyped tunes but the meaning is very empowering and eye-opening to those who are not sure of what they are fighting for. EVERYTHING WE NEED IS ON THE GROUND!! We do not need to try hard and pressure ourselves, we just need to open our eyes and appreciate it❣️ This song is a masterpiece ‼️ #ontheground #Rosé

At 9:40 I think that in that scene she is looking back at her past self. Because when she was little she loved to play the piano, so she is looking back at how great and fun her childhood was when she didn't have a care in the world. Right... 9:14 Here... So Younger Rose throw 🌹 to future herself, and by that both Rose are connected. Rose in white clothes seems so happy and passionate. Contrastingly, Rose in Black-Pink clothes seems little tired. She’s literally looking back her own childhood, missing it so much. (As she had to live her family at the age of 15) House in this mv, Rose mentioned it’s her old home. Living there, Rose dreamed about becoming famous singer, as she portrayed herself as Rose in the mirror. (9:32) But now she became a successful singer, she wants to be Roseanne again. As she dreamed being Rose in younger days, now she put Roseanne on the mirror.

After watching now. Loved your reaction. I want to add that basically (in my opinion) when she is saying you and I or you in general, she talks about her and “her old self”. I think Rosé's practically talking about how hard she worked to reach her dreams and get to where she is now, and now that she's successful, she's realizing that she had already found happiness way back then. Looking back to the young Roseanne, the one who sings her heart out in church, not having to be separated from her family- indeed, everything she needs is On The Ground. And On The Ground is Home.

I saw someone on twitter saying a theory that the mv actually is turning back time. From start she is where she is now and as the mv goes on it shows past eras and her past experiences and life. Thats why there are some scenes/elements from previous mvs like clothes, places and props. Like the swing is from stay, the chandelier is from ddu du ddu du. The hat from ddu du ddu du. The fire from playing with fire. And sometime near the end she is in her young age. As a person whos having fun and she visits her past self and house which also relates to the mirror scene. The final flower scene represents her finally finding who she is as Rosé.

Such an amazing MV and song. Rosé killed it. I think the end it represents her blooming/ rising when she stays true to herself which is Roseanne. In the beginning where she is reminiscing on her life as Rosé, yeah there are bits that are bright such as the chandeliers, fireworks, flashes of lights, riding on a limousine, etc.. but around it is dark and gloomy and she is alone. I love the mirror scene as well because it's so clear when the lights are on she's Rosé but when it is off she is Roseanne. There are Aussie references as well, the koala tshirt and an Aussie movie showing at the theatre. The MV just has so many elements to it.. so good!!!
@kue21823 жыл бұрын
we all know that eversince Rosé was a child she's really into music, she was a choir I guess? and when her parents asked her if she wants to pursue her dreams as a musician that's where it all started. Roseanne Park is known as a young lady who wants to be a musician, while Rosé is known as the member of the biggest girl group and a successful musician. The third picture shows how proud she is to her younger self, the young lady who has no idea that she'll become successful in the future.

And there’s like a scene where the present version of me goes back to my childhood house, and I’m looking back at how I grew up there and what kind of dreams I had and going back to that core self. It was so cinematic and just everything that I would dream my first solo music video to be." She also said that she talked to someone and they were like: ‘I’m surprised you’re coming out with a song like this because I expected you to come out with a song that’s more like, related to love". She wrote a song about her, her introspection and realization. The music video was absolutely amazing in the way they managed to show what Rosé was singing about.

Yessss, and to me the Rosè in white are her true, simpler, more "human" versions, she reached the top and that side of her died a little and she was not enjoying herself as she thought she would, while the glamorous "Rosè of Blackpink" in black got all the attention and love, but that was a fabricated version that attracted a lot of fake love because of all the fame, from the public, people around her trying to take advantage of it and from herself, trying force herself to be that person she created
@manasii.73 жыл бұрын
"The Roses are Dead Love is Fake" IN MY OPINION , it means that she can either be rose ( an idol ) where love is fake (EVERY FAMOUS PERSON HAS HATERS) or a dead rose ( a normal person ) where she'll recieve loads of real love i think its means in order to achieve both she needs to be down to earth ( which in this context means "ON THE GROUND" ) MAY BE ..

I think it links to self-love. 'The Roses' meaning Rosé herself, only gets fake or superficial 'love' in the form of likes on social media or those who idolise her famous persona but don't know her personally. It makes her 'dead' meaning unhappy or unfulfilled.

In the end i think it mean finally Rosé and Roséanne can find harmony in one self.(before both are like reflect in the mirror but finally they become real and meet in person) And that the final scene is like the ecstacy feeling, she just being happy and levitates not far from the ground, not to be too high (and cannot see or feel the ground) like being in the "fake" heaven as before.

i’m very sure there’s no love interest in this song, as we can see her playing to herself in the piano scene. she’s talking to her past self, the her before the fame. rosé said she was inspired by reflecting on her days as a trainee, and i believe the whole concept is about her realised she spent her whole life working for this position she’s now in only to realise the smaller things that she already had are the most important to her. i saw the ROSÉ/ROSANNE scene as her seeing herself and being seen as ROSÉ, this very popular successful woman that achieved so much, but in what seemed to me like a flashback looking back at this “ROSEANNE” persona - that despite being her name, looked to me like it was used as a representation of what she was in the past - that she doesn’t see herself as anymore (that’s why she’s not in frame imo) nostalgically like she took that for granted when she’s now realised that this thing she spent her entire life chasing isn’t better than her more humble life (i’m taking this from the “your gold’s plastic” line), which i’m assuming is about the very negative side of being famous, everyone knowing you, not know who’s a genuine friend and love interest, not being able to walk around and just go somewhere because you feel like it, etc. i think the fireworks scene is just a visual representation of how free she would feel if she could blow all of that up and live and be seen a normal person, her and herself only, Roseanne Park!

the most amazing scene in the mv is when rosé watching roseanne playing piano. that's the moment where her dreams started. the whole mv is basically telling us rosé's story from nothing to fame and not like other solo artists/bands/groups that always telling us about love story and heart breaks lyrics/songs. she decided to release a song that tells her story instead of choosing love bcuz she wants to show us her story and people kinda used to love and heart breaks songs. 🌹é.

i feel like rose levitating on the late part of the MV symbolizes that in order to fully rise you should never forget to still be on the ground and never forget your past

Maybe her "love interest" is herself, Roseanne, so it's like Rosé is singing this song to Roseanne

Rosé's favorite flower is white rose.she once said that they make her feel clam.so I think she wants her calming life back.all white roses are on the ground but she is enjoying her freedom from her mind.That's why she's levitating.white roses could be a representation of her past too.

What i like about reaction is so many people react to whatever mv is.. Their giving they opinions what they've saw and its just makes us proud, like rosè waiting for so long for her solo debut and receiving a good message from a bunch of people makes us even more prouder ✨❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤✨

Theory: she’s actually referencing to her non-idol self roseanne and her idol-self rosé, when she says you and I. And thinking back who she used to be because the idol life is such a fantasy that one stays up there all the time, but they become objectified and not seen as humans. So she wants to come back to the ground to show her more vulnerable self to the world as Roseanne or at least get in touch with her old self cause she realized that Roseanne is enough and she doesn’t have to change for anyone else. Also the drunk style scene shows what happens when she comes back from performances. The fluffy jacket is the Rosé and when she puts the black jacket she’s Roseanne
@Dev.853 жыл бұрын
I would describe that scene as her floating. So she's found that balance between being up high and on the ground. A place where she is happy being both Rosé and Roseanne, the same person.

This song is actually not related to love. It's about Rosè's past and her present self visiting her past. the lyrics: "Every day, every night. I've been thinking about on you and I" doesn't actually refer to a person, it refers to present Rosè thinking about her past self. At 9:14 we see past Rosè playing with a lot of flowers, before she was famous. At 9:18 we see present Rosè picking up a rose on the ground but instead of throwing it like at the start of the mv she smiled with it. She is happy at seeing where she all started. The only time we see present Rosè with roses is at the start of the mv but it lesser than her childhood house. It means that every time she gets more famous and higer in her career the less she is closer to the roses on the ground, which symbolizes her origin. We also see both past and present Rosè on the piano. Past Rosè singing in the piano reigniting her passion. Present Rosè finally reunites with herself Roseanne (past self) and Rosè (present self). At the final scene Hot pink Rosè (present self) and white pink Roseanne (past self) reunites in a field of white and light pink field of roses. It symbolizes harmony between the two of them. "Although we always run whike looking at higher places, the truly important things are within you." - Rosè I learned about this by a yt vid thx to Kpop News 4E you guys can also watch the vid about Rosè mv there.

where the sparks were i think is also a callback to blackpink’s song playing with fire. it looks a lot like where they shot that video with the scaffolding with the writing on it and in playing with fire she had fire floating around her much like the sparks
