Changbin's rap and Han's rap in Miroh will forever be iconic for me
@amyhahn47349 ай бұрын
More fun facts for Miroh! 1. Released on the 1st anniversary of their debut, Miroh was their very first Music Show win (on M Countdown). I get the impression that while they were getting a lot of buzz and attention, they weren't doing very well with the Korean audience itself, and so they were falling short achieving Korean fan votes. Seeing Han and Chan cry at the award just really lets you know how important this was to them, personally & professionally. 2. The "h" at the end of Miroh was another wordsmith gem from Changbin, to signify that as we go through the maze of life, we can end up in Heaven, or Hell. No surprise, here, as he converted Chan's "track Elevator" to "Hellevator" as they developed that project!

As someone who also has ADHD, I'm telling you not to apologize for being yourself. By all means, get as excited as you want, talk all you want, express yourself the way you want. The feeling that you're "too much" and need to limit yourself in some way absolutely sucks, and the people who tell you to calm down or whatever don't deserve your joy and excitement. Just keep being you, and the people who enjoy you, your personality and your content will find you. That being said, I enjoy the deeper dives into the actual editing of music videos. I watch other editors' reactions and love seeing different takes on the same MV. If you haven't checked out the behind the scenes of their MVs yet, you definitely should! They're so much fun and the boys are just pure chaos, as always haha

My understanding is back home in Australia some of Chans friends are from New Zealand. He really enjoys Australian Rugby League and his favourite team is the Warriors from New Zealand. New Zealand sports teams often perform the Haka before a match. Some schools teach it, dependant upon their demographics. I believe Chan did visit New Zealand with his family but i didn't hear of Felix travelling with him.

As a kiwi I love that they incorporated the Haka in this choreo, I grew up watching it before sports events, especially Rugby games. As Aussies are close cousins to us Kiwis, Chan and Felix would have seen it a lot at sporting events between our countries as well when they were growing up. A well known Kiwi choreograper, Parris Goebel, worked on this routine with them. She has worked with many other celebrities including Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and Rhianna as well as other KPop groups such as iKon and Blackpink. BTW have you picked a bias yet?

I'm scrounging to try and find where I saw it -- but it was probably a KZbin comment from ages ago. I believe they did consult with someone from NZ for the choreo to make sure they incorporated it respectfully. I love the breakdowns and am completely fine with any nerding out over their videos! I've learned a lot from different professionals reacting to their music, videos, and dancing & I love it!

I just love hearing you ramble about so many things. It's always instructive, and I learned a lot about tiny things my uneducated eye never saw in this video. Keep going with informative long talkative videos, STAYs love it. Also, it's tough to pick a top favourite song... Ever since i became a STAY, my top 3 was Miroh/Back Door/Red Lights. I couldn't choose between the three. And then they released Cover me, and I cried so much at first listen... (it has no MV though). Cover Me is now my top favourite SKZ song ever, but the three others are close contestants, and then there's so many on the 3rd step of the podium (cheese - domino - chronosaurus - another day - god's menu - all in - battle ground - social path - hall of fame - ...) A little musical nugget about Miroh: in addition to having the Maori Haka in the choreo, it also has a traditionnal african chant all throughout the song, the woaho woaho woaho part, (but I can't remember which ethny it is from...)

Miroh is such a interesting song. It has the Hakka incorporated into the choreography. It has the style of Congolese war chants in the chorus's background. It has the H tacked on to the end of Miro to denote heaven or hell, depending on how you go through the maze. (Like Helevator with the ambiguous meaning of the H added to elevator.) It also is very Lore heavy. It fits after I Am You & directly after Victory Song. I Am You ends with them lined up & watching the city. Victory Song has them starting their infiltration of the city with the intent of coming out on top. I don't know if you noticed the slogans that the authority figures had in their parades. "The world is the same." "Something happened, Nothing changed." "Order-Disorder." "There is no Tarzan. CITY JUNGLE." (These are important. Remember them.) The mascot of the authority figures is a lion...Which isn't a Jungle animal. Tigers are, which is why when you hear the tiger roar & see the tiger's face pop out at us, it's with SKZ as the background. They removed the weapons & masks used by security for the authority. We know this, because neither SKZ nor the resistance ever use those. No dog masks, and no weapons. When it first started you see glitches happen behind & around I.N, & he seems to be talking on the radio to someone. (This kinda ties into Astronaut and Chan talking on the same kind of radio wit hthe same kind of static.) More glitches happen behind Felix, and bios code and different images flash in rapid sequence behind him. Only him. Those images are sending a rocket to space, the first areal photos of a large city, war, blueprints for city infrastructure, and time lapses of traffic with the headlights making streamers. So much happens before the song even starts officially. When the song starts, Chan & Seungmin are in a high-rise building looking over the city. The walls & signboard are covered in papers, pictures, and markers. They are tracking people. Noting times & places, making notes on who is missing, where they are meeting, and so forth. When SKZ are with the resistance, they are at street level, but when on their own, they are high above on rooftops. Which is where they can view the "maze" of the city. It ends with them there. But it also sets up the next installment of the Lore. (If you want to follow the lore, you would have to watch the Trailer for Cle 2: Yellow Wood, and then the Trailer 1 for Side Effects. Then watch Side Effects, which is next in the story lore.)

I'm happy that someone recognized The Haka. Bang Chan and Felix are from Australia, but I think they must have loved rugby, because usually before any international rugby match The All Blacks (New Zealand's rugby team's nick name) do The Haka after the teams national anthems were sang. That is their way of intimidating the opposite team. I'm South African and I use to love rugby and cricket, but not anymore. I guess I lost interest in sports. I still love The Haka even though it keeps on changing.
