Most importantly, it is a love letter to the critic’s idols: for a collection from fashion designer Takahiro Miyashita; for a film from director Gus Van Sant; for the escapism, for the instincts of stylist Panos Yiapanis and for the joyful alchemy that comes from class, cultural and sexual constructs…all seen throughout the patterns in a grunge flannel shirt.
