when i was there just a few years ago, that entire left side of the ground floor was videos - seems like they've got rid of a bunch of stuff both new and old (house of the dead 4, scarlet dawn, nirin, raizing storm etc) just for more redemption, a shame but not surprised

They moved the x2 to the 2nd floor and got a smx dx a arcade new door got rid of there ddr x and got a20 plus offline

@@s34nvideos Just a heads up you get tokens if you drink or eat from their, or are local you just have to ask and you should get told that when you order. the fee is to stop people using the sinks to wash sand off their feet from the beach which causes a load of blockages.

In my experience recording in arcades, more often than not people just don't want their face on the internet, or are concerned about people recording minors, which is understandable. Most of the time I've been ok to though since I'm mindful of this. I did find one instance when I was overseas in a small quiet arcade where the owner told me off for filming an unmanned machine. I think she was worried I was gonna steal or leave a bad review or something 🥲

Yeah, most of them say "Because of the kids", *looks around* no kids in sight. But it doesn't explain the fact the businesses record everything 24/7, or least when the arcade is open, even these mythical kids. It ONLY ever happens in the UK, pretty much any other country ive been to, there has never been any issue
