I’ve only seen him via critical drinker, but it’s not even disappointment, it’s batshit insane, he edited a 20 (or what synth said) hour video (not even cutting, it included effects) into a 4 hour marathon. Usual wokeness aside, one of the things that ticked me off about the game awards the most other than wokeness was the over abundance of CGI trailers, not just CGI trailers, but most of the CGI trailers shown were trying to be "Family friendly" as possible with little to no references to violence or sexual content. Even those upcoming M rated games tried to be "Family Friendly", during the game awards. Really goes to show how soft the industry has become. Back in my day, game trailers would actually showcase gameplay,even if the trailers were shown to be cinematic, they were still pure gameplay. Sometimes they were just straight up gameplay with BARELY any cinematic editing. Look at burnout paradise's launch trailer and car crash trailer for cinematic editing but still gameplay and actually shows what the game actually is. You can tell they were targeting THE FANS of the game, not some Hollywood bozos

It was enough for me to know it's a hit piece when I heard about Mauler editing in a bunch of livestream crap. From the few EFAP's I've seen where YT videos were involved they always just took the video and reacted/replied to it and maybe a related follow up video. The fact that Mauler had to break the usual format and spent over a days worth of hours watching the vods and editing things together to discredit Synthetic man ironically discredited his own "arguments". You can have overpowered females very easily and Japanese games/anime do it all the time but they purposefully avoid having them be brutish and physically strong. The vast majority of the examples you'll see in an anime for example, will be them being strong in a totally fictional power system which I have no problem with since it doesn't map onto anything from IRL, physical strength does and as a result looks ridiculous. Hey Synth, if I may, I would suggest at least playing the OG Armored Core game for the PS1, and Last Raven for the PS2. AC1 is where it all started for the franchise, and Last Raven is the apex of the Playstation only-era including story and difficulty (Soulslike). The other AC games are also worth a shot minus Nine Breaker and Formula Front should you decide to check them all out.

Things kinda sped up in the AC3 era, and then AC4 made the mechs into jets, and then AC5 made the ACs do the fusion dance with Chromehounds. Hopefully AC6 will not feel too sluggish as some past titles did.

There’s a difference between making gay jokes and the sort of comments Synthetic Man has made… SM literally makes statements expressing that he hates gay people and finds them disgusting. He stated on his stream that if he was ever invited on EFAP, he would call the hosts every slur imaginable.

Did you ever play Sifu? It's definitely underrated and deserved some type of award. Good art style, great gameplay, and really good mod support for creative play and content. It's a short game, but it's indie and not meant to be drawn out.

Hey man I agree with your statement about Maulers shitty hitpiece. Thanks to his 15hrs coverage about you I heard about your channel. If there are points that are factual incorrect in your videos it shouldn't take 15hrs to refute them, aint nobody got time for that. But it shows how much your comments must have hurt him since the 4hrs video alone must have taken ages to create and upload. Also, yeah not responding is the right move, its just like apologizing to the left: it doesn't work and only feeds them.

Well yeah the reason its not a few hrs and responding only to his review is because Mauler and the EFAP crew are trying to go after Synthetic for daring to say offensive things on the internet, things EFAP did like crazy years ago. I don't agree with Synth often, he's simped some games that I don't like and his criticisms of Elden Ring were hella dumb a lot of the time but that's perfectly fine cause, even if he is wrong in my opinion, I at least know for sure he is honest with what he's saying unlike Mauler and the crew who are clearly policing their own speech at this point and even outright covering for games because emotions and nothing else...
