@TheOffNDer Actually the PS3 flopped at the very beginning of its market release because of the high price, small library of games and shitty controller. But then Sony did get rid of these drawbacks. And how about Pioneer Laseractive? It also dropped because of the high price and it lacked its own games library. It did have the games from SEGA CD and PC-Engine, but these things were also expensive as hell.

The Amiga was able to produce impressive graphics for a 16 bit system, and since the CDTV was technically based on the Amiga Advanced Graphics Architecture, the same architecture used for many Amiga systems, it was able to give computer users a better graphic set. Seeing that screen must have been really impressive for '91.

1. I never knew that the Japan-only PSX had a custom startup screen, may be included in a later version. 2. Genesis has no startup, only some of the games do. 3. R-Zone has no unified startup either because of its structure. 4. DSi is only slightly different from DS, but an earlier comment already mentioned that. 5. PS3 Slim is present right after the PS3 startup, but should probably be considered separate, as NXE also is.

VideoViaPlaystation as far as I know, only two different PS3 startups exist. also in this case PSX meant a special version of the original PlayStation 2 released only in Japan with more multimedia capabilities and XrossMediaBar, if you wanted the standard PlayStation startup that's up there too already.

AddressError Some later Genesis Model 1 units had a "lockout" BIOS which prevented bootleg games (at the time) from starting on it. It had text saying that it was produced by or under license by SEGA.
