2 Notes: - No matter what anyone says about Pepsiman (I genuinely believe it's overhated), the soundtrack is fantastic. - Song of the Ancients does show up on both NieR games, but that specific version only shows up in Gestalt/Replicant at the end of a sidequest that involves the both twins. The version in Automata is very different

Regarding AstLibra:Revision (which you did pronounce correctly), it's an indie solo project that's essentially a classic 2D tales of game, in the "no one is making that game so I'll make it myself" angle, and the whole soundtrack is full of bangers

At the end I got 63! That was a pretty good episode. Highlight track for me has to be that Dusk song MisterToodles picked. I do know about the Dusk soundtrack (I know it's good) but I never heard that particular song. To answer that question you asked the guests: I do have to agree with you and Wayne, the late 90s to mid 2000s were my favorite era. It had so many good experimental games, a few of which are my favorites. If I had to pick a second and third favorite era, it would be mid to late 2010s (when indie games became quite popular), and then SNES era.

Fact check about the Castlevania track in the De-Makeover Round: The Portrait of Ruin song "Bloodlines Bequeathed" is a boss theme for Richter and it is based on another boss theme for Richter in Symphony of the Night called "Blood Relations" which uses the motif of Richter's theme. Yeah Richter appears twice as an enemy in the series. So whoever said Symphony for the origin wasn't exactly wrong.

SONIC RIDERS ZERO GRAVITY RUSH!!!!!!!! I absolutely adore both of these series music!!!! Both Gravity Rush games are fantastic too!!!! I stayed in the first major area of GR2 (not the tutorial village) for hours goofing around just so I could here Lei Colmosna over and over again, lol! Senri Kawaguchi plays drums on the GR2 soundtrack and she is an absolute beast!!!

19:24 I don't know the first two games, but... while Balloon Fight has a 2 player mode, the music was from the Balloon Trip mode, which is strictly single player, so I don't think the "competitive multiplayer" answer deserved any points. 1:02:21 I thought this was from F-Zero GP Legend for sure, but I got fooled by the part that's almost identical to what you hear in GP Legend. How sneaky.

I felt the need to look this up myself afterwards too, cause I will admit I did not have enough info to go off of. @SpoonyBard88 I keep it in because it adds a dynamic to the game. The next person is garunteed a point, but if they get it bang on correct, they both score TWO points AND deny the third person from a garunteed 1 or potentially 2. Keep in mind as well that this isn't meant to be a grueling, bloody competition (until the finals). I want my guests to feel good about buzzing in and guessing, so having even harsher punishments for not being PERFECT would drastically lower the rate at which people buzz in. We are trying to have fun here at the end of the day. Half points for series is a fun way to reward people for taking a shot, and the follow-up guesses can also be entertaining. And to add to that, some people still don't even buzz in after knowing that rule! Occasionally, I will point it out, but I don't always. Especially if I already have earlier in an episode.

@TarvouldsQuest if you want to encourage answers, don't penalize incorrect guesses. This is just bizarre. There should be four outcomes for a buzz-in to guess a title: 1. Totally wrong, 0 points, you may not buzz again 2. First to identify the correct franchise but not the precise title, 1 point, you may not buzz again 3. Correctly identify the precise title after the franchise has been publically stated, 1 point, end of question 4. Correctly identify the precise title before the franchise has been publically stated, 2 points, end of question
