Man, let me tell y’all something, I’ve been gaming since the 80s, when the Atari was at its prime and the original Nintendo NES was burgeoning. Ever since, I’ve loved video games and it’s been an absolute blast watching this medium evolve to what it is today. When I was 5 playing the original Legend of Zelda I never could have imagined video games of the future would become multimillion dollar productions, complete with their own orchestral soundtracks and cinematic gameplay. I think we need to all take a minute to recognize and give praise to just how many talented and creative people work on these games for our enjoyment. So, so awesome! Thank you CDPR, The Witcher 3 has been one of the most enjoyable video games of all time for me, and for so many others. Thank you for all the hard work that went into this game, what a masterpiece!!

When I started gaming it was near the end of the NES era beginning of SNES. If you told that kid that one of his favorite games of all time would be Witcher 3 and would describe it to him. @@varunpatkar501 It is not a problem of the translation itself - actually it is done quite well. The key point is the difference in the culture and some play of words. I do not speak Japanese but I was reading Murakami, translated into English and Polish and for me polish translations were better...not because of the lack of skill of the translator but because of the difference in culture and the way we see and undestand the world around us. That is why I think learning other languages gives us different points of view on the same situations.

7:58-10:30 is such a good representation of why the soundtrack for Witcher 3 is universally praised and loved. The scene it scores has no dialogue, no sound, nothing. Just the look of horror and shock, and slow realization on Geralt's face that he had run out of time. Ciri had died, and there wasn't anything he could do. Man, I didn't cry, but I felt genuine anguish at the thought of having traveled all those hours, fought my way through countless enemies, dealt with kings, assassination plots, old friendships and rescue operations, only to arrive and see your daughter, an anchor, cold, lifeless, dead.

The cutscene where "The Wolf and the Swallow" plays in TW3 is probably the most emotion I've felt playing a game, ever. The whole thing was perfect; from the initial focus on random objects in the room symbolising Geralt's initial hesitance/denial, to the look on his face when he turns her over.. I knew she couldn't really be dead, but they really made you feel through the character in that moment. It was the culmination of 50+ hours of gameplay and executed flawlessly.
