Out of the total amount of views this video gets how many people do you think are now going to go out of their way and shop at this store because of the "exposure". "He's giving them exposure" so he is in his right to low ball his "friend" and then make a video on it to earn a profit and then flip the games he purchased to earn a profit. My word I would love a game store like that here where I am in the UK. We only really have a shop called CEX these days, but that's a chain with uniform prices in every shop and no haggling so it's hard to get bargains. This is like heaven.

The discounts likely were just theater for the camera. The exposure and public perception of a 'good deal' will pay a lot more in the long term then the couple of bucks he'd lose out by not charging his friend base value.

Most people can't sell video games on Amazon because they are gated. Amazon usually has the highest prices. Dude in the shop can't sell that game quickly for 22 dollars but 15 on a game he prob has less then 5 in is still a big profit. I sell on eBay and I'm always willing to take 5 less then what I list for because I know it's still a good profit

Don't know if anyone could still benefit from this advice but.... I think I spotted two(?) copies of Transformers Devastation at around the 6 minute mark during the PS4 section, 3rd row (from top) on the right. If these are at a good price (I can't exactly see what's on the sticker), it might be worth looking at since at the time Activision didn't renew the license of several games including Deadpool and Transformers. Meaning they aren't available for purchase on PSN, Xbox and Steam anymore, and physical copies could be harder to find. So, if someone's around this store I'd suggest taking a look ;) Ps, Phoenix Resale, I do love your take on all this. Starting your collection from the ground up again. It makes me think back to the time I started my collection again. Thanks for sharing your adventures! :D

His entrepreneurship is commendable, but if I was the business owner I'd kick anyone like this out, and would have other stores notified of this behavior or attempting arbitrage at every store, unless the reseller brought other items I could sell or trade for to make it worthwhile. It's nobody's right to come to a store and attempt arbitrage by scanning every item and looking to find hidden value so they can use it for their own business. Selling through hundreds of items to a reseller for 500-1000s in lost potential profit to the public is not worth a quick sale. And If I'm a local customer I'm mad, because guys like this are taking any unique, rare, popular, or difficult to find title out of circulation just so they can make more money for their business.
