I think Abaribe is right "Sit at home on Mondays" started when traders in a Timber market in Imo state decided not to open their stores when MNK was being arraigned on Monday for the first time after DSS was unable to produce him initially. So when the traders successfully did it on Monday, the next day some security operatives prevented them from opening up their store and told them to continue to sit at home, I think this hinderance by the security operatives continued for like a week before people decided to make it an every Monday thing regardless on when MNK was being arraigned at the court.

There was no peace in SE when he was released on bail in 2017 till he ran away, it is better to convict him of his crimes. Thank you for the speech you made Mr first speaker because you hit the nail on the head...the federal government invaded his house illegally and that's why he fled the country and the second speaker started vomiting rubbish by the false allegations on abaribe which he needed to be guided as a journalist....he was agitating because he got the right under the law to do so but the federal government couldn't engage him to dialogue on the matter and they went ahead invading his home which led to the untimely death of his parents.....the northern region has been facing more than this by allowing book haram to host their flag without anyone saying a word about that...I think it was the level of nepotism in the country that prompted this and the best way to handle his issues and other issues facing the country is to dialogue with the parties concerned instead of using force because the country will collapsed completely from this present stage if the present regime can't restore peace in every regions in the country.....what legacy are they leaving for the citizens when they finally relinquish power come 2023

I disagree with Babajide's position on this and go with Mayor, just like the Nigerian state can't accede to the core demands of Boko Haram, it can't also agree to the core demand of Kanu which is creation of a country out of Nigeria. That question has been settled once on the battlefield, just as USA settled such a question on her sovereignty o the battlefield with the confederates. Neither will Kanu's agitation lead to handing over the presidency to one of his kinsmen like a piece of sweet 'cos that's the main reason most of the support base is with Kanu and the likes of Abaribe, who are looking at how to profit. The Abaribes can't be absolved of how things turned out as they offered tacit support hoping to benefit rather than call the young man to order. Saying he should have been left alone is treating crimes with kids gloves, while committing crimes of inciting one ethnic group against the other, criminally installing transmitters on telecoms mast and entering the country illegally The Nigerian state needs to assert itself against criminals like Boko Haram, Bandits, Kidnapers. criminal secessionists and ensure they are publicly tried and convicted by the Judiciary. Wecan't keep negotoating and compensating every violent group otherwise every new group will be created making unreasonable demands.
