I have a wonderful memory of Mother Osmond... in 1978 I had travelled fro England to Provo and knocked on the door of Riviera Apartments asking for Donny ( very brave for the very shy person that I was!). Mother Osmond answered the door and told me that Donny was at the studios recording but would I just wait a moment. A few minutes later she came back and said she had arranged for me to watch the taping of the Donny and Marie show that day and to have a tour of the studios! I have never forgotten her kindness that day xx A beautiful lady xx

I met mother Osmond in 1977 when I knocked on the Osmond’s door to bring Jay Osmond birthday cake. Mrs Osmond was so kind and sweet she didn’t know me but she treated me like she knew me. Wonderful woman to have met in my life. Kathleen Stofko

What an incredible interview! Alan made me cry, quite a few times. His testimony and faith, with all the trials he has experienced (and in am sure there are many, many more that he didn't share) are awe inspiring. How different the world would be with more families like the Osmonds!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to watch this. I have loved your family from the time I was a preteen. You have been a wonderful example of how to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and not feel inclined to compromise even in the presence of kings and magistrates and others who would try to tempt you or possibly shame you. Instead you found that rather, they honored and admired you. Thank you for your example.

I'm not a Mormon, neither am I particularly religious, though when I come across people of the Mormon faith I'm struck by two things: how well-adjusted they are, and how healthy looking they appear. The Osmonds are great ambassadors for their faith and all appear to be very decent people. I used to tease my two cousins, Angie and Linda, about their teenage crushes on the Osmonds, but now I think they were good judges of character. Nice interview.

I gotta tell you I’m sure olive was a nice person but my parents were deaf and tom osmond who was deaf and we were invited to Toms wedding. Anyway olive hired some deaf people to open up their fan mail. My mother told me olive was a very cold person. She always seemed to be worried that the people who were opening up the fan mail was going to steel stuff. It just rubbed me the wrong way.
@lesleymitcheson8744 жыл бұрын
Nancy Wharton She had every right to worry about people stealing as it did happen to them. They lost a lot of money
@desertrehabpt2114 жыл бұрын
Nancy, olive was anything but cold. Your mom misunderstood her actions. She was just being careful. She did so much for so many and being cold was simply not in her description. She took so many kids and people under her wing. She really cared about people.
@trubrit50362 жыл бұрын
Everybody has a weakness, and Mrs. Osmond was not perfect. Maybe she did come across cold, and maybe she was worried about theft. I can see why you would be 'rubbed the wrong way'. Probably allot more to the story, but at the end of the day, she was a good woman, who surely made mistakes, but her goodness outweighed any weaknesses.
