I guess Hasbro didn't have the budget to figure out the feet.. or just ran out of creative juice. Regardless, Great upgrade. Makes the figure more worth getting now that there is a decent fix for the feet along with some extras.

Just got this kit today. I don't really collect G1 style figures myself but I picked up Soundwave in clearance cos thought his tape deck mode might be fun for some of my non-TF figures but yeah... cat ears? It's incredible that almost 40 years later there are Transformers that still have trouble turning into... a rectangle... But yeah this kit works a treat. I found your video cos I was having a lil difficulty putting the arm panels on and didn't want to force them in case I broke them but seeing you did it made me realise I just had to do apply a lil extra pressue and it's fine. :) Thanks for reviewing upgrade kits. :D

Just got this kit. Pretty nice, except fir the back filler plate. I’m not a fan of having to remove it and reinstall for transformation.

I know it's technically parts forming but honestly how often will a grown man need to transform his display figures??? It makes displaying this guy much more appealing. I mean it would be nearly impossible to achieve the same effect and create a piece that would permanently stay attached to the robot so what's the other option, not making the piece/part? I don't see why anyone would complain about it as if it were possible to do otherwise...

Can you post a link for this? im getting this figure myself, and i just now learned i will have to turn his head around when i transform him into a boombox. Its a shame because soundwave is one of my favorite G1 figures... at least when they make him a boombox and not a spaceship or a flying pancake like the bumblebee version. All the leader and voyager size boombox soundwaves cost upwards of 100-300 bucks.

I would be willing to forgive the feet problem if Hasbro had made the Lazerbeak cassette transformable.

If you can give me literally any way they could've made a halfway convincible Laserbeak that transformers a a 4th of core class scale, that wouldn't fall apart just from being breathed on

This is especially hilarious considering the stock feet are already hollow at the bottom assumingly because they wanted to save plastic and if they had done it the way that this upgrade kit does the feet it would have looked better and it would have saved even more on plastic because I'm pretty sure that divot that the part of the foot folds into is actually bigger than the two little divots on the stock feet.

I, in all honesty, don't really care about the upgrade kit; I don't hate it, it's a nice update, but I just don't really see a need for it. I'm fine with what Hasbro gave us. The stick out feet isn't a problem in my own personal opinion. Feel free to rant and judge me down below. I won't care if anyone puts a hate reply.

Honestly the hollow parts doesn't bother me but the feet does! I'm not willing to buy the upgrade mainly cos I know for a fact I would look that bit covering the head back area! I know there is no way they could of pernamently stayed there than just being an unhinged lid!
