They intended to make this Nucleon Quest Convoy, not Nemesis Prime. But oh well. Both Nemesis and Nucleon Quest will probably not exist in the Cross Dimension story anyway, as with most of their SP releases. The upcoming Skywarp and Thundercracker Galaxy Meteor repaints don't exist in the Galaxy Force/Cybertron stories, so it is just something for the owner to implement at their free choice. Lots of creative freedom when it comes to head canon.

This figure could be interpreted three different ways, Nemesis Prime, Scourge/Black Convoy or "Nucleon Quest Super Convoy" (a black redeco of Powermaster Optimus Prime, who is a powered version of Prime.)

Thunder Manus seems based on Super Ginrai...so the black version is pretty much the black Nucleon Quest Super Convoy repaint, which while it had the color scheme, actually wasn't a Black Convoy/Nemesis Prime/Scourge...biggest tell being the blue eyes; typically all the Black versions meant to be evil have your typical Decepticon red eyes (though I think that Nucleon Quest Super Convoy set was a repaint of the God Ginrai set). Much like how MP01B was some sort of clone along the lines of Autobot X instead of a real Black Convoy/Nemesis Prime/Scourge...and the more grayish MP04S was supposed to be a dead Optimus. Not sure if it was said, but the engines were called Powermasters in US G1, and Godmasters in Japanese G1. Hmmm...not gonna lie...despite the main figure being about Legends class sized, I actually like this MORE than the Voyager sized Striker Manus/Erebus. That trailer reminds me more of the Fansproject & Transform Mission versions of Motormaster than Ginrai/PMOP, though. (I honestly expected them to have one set of wheels to serve as heel spurs akin to a similar design to the Movie MP Bumblebee. And the main figure having smaller guns that link to the bigger ones? Makes WAY more sense than Hasbro's reuse of Ultra Magnus's hammer guns or Takara's wannabe Twin Buster Rifles. And as far as that front skirt/crotch piece...I think they drew inspiration for the whole Cross Dimension series from Gundam. How big is it in combined mode??

All the design images and promotions that were first released were for Thunder Manus. Erebus never even appeared until more recently. Personally, after Powermaster Optimus Prime, God Ginrai, Power of the Primes new Optimus, and with Fans Hobby now producing a PM Optimus as well, I kinda think Maketoys might have just given up on doing a standard Optimus paint for now.

A shop exclusive that sadly enough eluded my clutches and is now... welp, rare and severely pricey. Damn me if this isn't a dream come true. Baltmatrix did a good job on the vid, bar mistaking it for another Evil Prime (cue Ernest Borgnine), but still the real thing is so much more fun than the video can convey. Yes, Thunder Manus gets the Divine Armor (non-bot Godbomber add-ons), but frankly who needs that? Erebus or Manus, this figure is freaking awesome. Erh, only complaint-ish is that the directions are for Manus, though packaged with my Erebus.
