Think about spy organisations they have to be deceptive to get past enemy security to do the job of spying on the other faction. For example as much as naive people think that hackers are bad guys, that idea changes quickly when hackers are used to stop a doomsday weapon from operating properly to give the good spy a chance to fight the bad spy in a spy movie. The name does suggest you can't trust them but the word deception isn't necessarily bad if these aliens have to hide to avoid trouble. All war is based on Deception as Sun Tzu said in the Art of War. According to G1 cartoon episode, the Autobots were the first to come up with Transformation before the Decepticons copied them. The autobots had to diguise or deceive people to stand a chance against the bad guy.

I honestly like it too. At first I naturally had a "WTF?!" reaction, but I also felt a strange charm and as I looked closer I was quite impressed by how the original appearance was translated into everyday attire. My favorite in that department are Optimus and Starscream. I wish they weren't restricted by the obligation to make them sexy and skimpy (kind of works for Starscream, not much for Optimus) and I'm not the biggest fan of their face art style, but I really like them. I even ended up buying the Optimus.

As an adult, Classics Prime and Bayverse Prime got me back into collecting Transformers. ROTF Prime is, in my opinion, the first time toy engineers managed to nail both vehicle and robot mode in terms of accuracy and aesthetics.

Just watched Transformers: One last night at the UK premiere, and I honestly have to say is *HOLY PRIMUS, THIS WAS THE BEST TRANSFORMER MOVIE IVE EVER SEEN!!!* Everything from the amazing animation, the visuals, the fight scenes, the music, the story, and the incredible voice performances by Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry as Optimus and Megatron, both Peter Cullen and Frank Welker would be incredibly proud. I truly loved the character designs of Optimus in Transformers One, and seeing his design become more crisp, clean, and polished as he went from Orion Pax to Optimus Prime was a great detail.

Idk they kinda missed with that collab. Rammatra as Megatron looks like shit to me because he just looks like grey Ram with Megatron's helmet. They also have this thing with Overwatch collabs where it's the characters "cosplaying" instead of straight turning them into the character they're supposed to be

Wonderful ranking! G1, TFP, the Reboot Movies, and the Original Michael Bay Trilogy design are my favorite Optimus designs. I personally think the ROTB design is as good as the Bumblebee movie design. I know people are gonna hate me on this one, but I don't mind the changes. I love that the colors are weathered, indicating that Optimus has been stranded on Earth for 7 years. My only flaw I have is that I wish the hands were still blue. I can't wait to watch Transformers One and from what I've seen in the trailers, Optimus's design looks incredible!

My favorite design of Optimus Prime is the live action in Bayverse from the first three films I grew up watching as a kid. In Dark of The Moon, he has a cool trailer that suits him perfectly which can transform into armored weapons platform and flight tech called Jetwing. Really dope. I also love that version of the truck called Peterbilt 379. Jet power and Jet wing Optimus Prime are Spectacular!

Nice work. I vote Transformers Bumblebee Optimus Prime as the GOAT because it's EXACTLY what G1 fans like me wanted from 2007 but didn't get. I own 2 of that figure plus the Masterpiece version. Prime should always look tall, medium buff, and nimble. Ultra Magnus should basically be the high buff character since he is about defense, not jumping and diving and dashing and evading attacks. UM = high endurance. Optimus = Speed + strength. So when I see a buff Optimus that can't dodge out of the way I feel like it betrays his design. The idea is Optimus should never need an upgrade since he was built from the ground up by Alpha Trion as a battle robot with almost perfect stats across the board so compared to others it's like he is a super soldier. In the G1 1986 movie, only Megatron was strong enough to damage his body since he compares closely to Prime in skill and stats. Other than Optimus Prime, (and excluding giant robots like Devastator and other combiners) only Grimlock can hurt Megatron. So when a battle occurs the deciding factor of which team wins is often the result of the duel between megs and prime because thier stats are all maxed out.

Not a design thing really, but I love the new IDW take on Optimus’ personality, it strikes the perfect balance between everything that came before in my opinion. Yeah, he probably could beat the brakes off nearly anything that gets in his way, but that’s not what he cares about, his mind is always on those around him, and the ways that he and the other Autobots can aid and protect them. It’s already a famous Prime moment despite being so recent, but the bit where he transforms for the sick child is a perfect encapsulation of the character, even with how brief it is.

The other thing about his Prime Beast War look is he was upgraded with the Forge of Solace Prime, which turns things into their perfect form, and that's what this form is. Before, he always had a disadvantage when fighting Megatron, and this made him able to stand up against Megatron much easier.

Cybertron/Galaxy Force Optimus was my first toy of Prime. Still remember figuring out his mask could flip up and using it like the G1 cartoon where it bobbed up and down to talk, that was fun. Always had a soft spot for that one, and his portrayal in the series was really good. The definitive Primes though in my opinion I’d say are definitely G1, Prime, and the High Moon one. Armada, Cybertron, and Animated get honorable mentions.

My favorite OP design is his Cybertron design. I think it was for the best with the Unicron trilogy ending with Cybertron, he should’ve gone out with the best design of the continuity. Honorable mentions are the Online Chinese exclusive game, Animated (Earth), Heavy Metal, and both Prime designs.

My favorite has to be Optimus’s Cybertronian form, briefly seen in Armada’s first episode. (I think we see it in a few flashbacks as well) It combines Armada OP’s buff physique, Optimus Primal’s arm cannons, and the traditional window pecs in a design that just works so well.

I grew up with G1 so that will always be my favourite. But I love the Armarda and Prime versions to. The version from the first film has grown on me over time to. Your videos are awesome.
