2:44-3:00 Is still a great moment. I forget the exact dialogue, but it's something along the lines of: Zidane: Quite a woman you picked to fall in love with. Steiner: You're one to talk! Garnet: Hey, Steiner, what do you mean by that?!? Seeing Steiner come full circle about Zidane from the beginning of the game and the respect that they have for each other by this point... so dang good.

Even though there was no real significant build up and interaction between Zidane and Steiner since Disk 2 Alexandria, and at the start of Disk 3, he was back to being a dick to Zidane for no reason.

This song and moment was so incredible, I remember that back in 2000 I daydreamed wishing this scene was 3 times longer than it was, too bad it was all too short.

My childhood self would agree with you. Why didn't this epic music play until the end of boss battle...?

The adventures throughout Gaia and Terra, the friends and allies we met, all were build up that led to this moment

Quite possibly the single best scene in the whole series, and this theme is a big reason why.

24 years and 4 console generations later, and it's still one of the most epic moments in games.

Even though it makes no sense that Cid and the others knew that the Invincible was headed for the Iifa Tree, since Garnet stupidly decided that they shouldn’t tell anyone about why the Mist was back.

@@Zelink108 It's implied that Baku found out, and told Cid. It no doubt comes from when you're doing side quests which do include an encounter with both Ruby and Baku. Plus Cid does say something earlier in the game that he knows everything that goes on in his kingdom.

@@3Storms The side quests are non-canon with the main quest, how could Baku have found out if you didn’t do the side quests?

"You're Not Alone" might get the most fanfare for a heroic Morale party theme, but THIS is where the true companionship of the 8 heroes really shines through from all the people they have helped in some way or other along the way. Only a shame more clans/tribes didn't join in. Would have been spectacular to see Burmecians, Black Mages, Master Quale, and at least Mikoto of the Genomes to prove why she's the 'backup plan' all fighting to make way as well.

The silver dragons have feathery wings, and their descriptor comes from their coloration, which is mainly pale green with some pink details. During the Second Battle of the Iifa Tree, a horde of silver dragons emerges from the fuchsia cloud above the Iifa Tree. Their leader appears to be the Nova Dragon.

Such an underrated piece, it really deserves a Distant Worlds/orchestral version

At least it is featured in the FFIX suite for Final Symphony II and The Black Mages did a cover of it on their third album.

The most hype moment I ever had in this game. I remember it then, I remember it now, I remember it as long as I live. It really feels that peak level of Final Fantasy, a level where there's a degree of unity unlike any other...
