Saturn is my biggest gaming blind spot. The first time I had a Saturn game running well on an emulator I was proud (I had heard it was hard to emulate). fpga Saturn has me salivating

I imagine it's most peoples blind spot in the west. Estimated only 1.5 to 3 million units were sold outside of Japan. That's like 3DO numbers. I remember suffering through Mednafen and it's lack of a GUI but now it's just another thing I can boot up in MiSter with no fuss.

I don't know if you were referencing my comment on a previous vid about Panzer Dragoon Saga... But yes, it was indeed 100% flawless from beginning to end... I know that game like the back of my hand... I even noticed that certain parts that DO slowdown on my stock Saturn, actually do not on my Mister Pi FPGA (walking through the towns' tunnel and the path behind the church in the holy district)... It was VERY surprising to me since I'm so used to that particular slowdown... Pretty dang cool to see...

Yes, but you should avoid european releases and allways try to play on NTSC versions of the games. Only a few games are PAL only and most games have not been optimised for PAL, with the issues we all know.

SNAC still not working for me.. L1 is start and start does nothing. I tried five completely different SNAC adapters from different vendors. I tried OG Saturn controllers and lightguns. I tried wiggling the connector in all ways and all the way from fully inserted to almost out. I even tried two different MiSTers.

These are on the unstable branch. So they don’t update via update all. Not until the dev decides to submit a new core build to the stable branch

Be careful with Grandia fan translation on Saturn. I figured out what was happening with the saves not working. They worked but as soon as you play Grandia? All your saves will disappear forever. I was playing Grandia (En v0.8.5) (Disc 1).chd if anyone working on the core wants to work on that specific bug.
